trade him to Utah, see how many rap albums he can sell, and how many rappers he can hang with in Salt Lake City.

If we get one mention of this on a national level it will invoke a trade from Kohl. I emailed the following to Colin Cowherd this morning: (feel free to pile on at theherd@espnradio.com)

Hey Colin,

LOVE the show! You always talk about fan expectations and how they can drive accountability on the East Coast, LA, and Southern college football. A great example you always use of fans and local media having zero expectations has always been the Chargers willingness to keep Norv Turner around.

Well there are some fans in the midwest that have been pushed to the edge due to a certain players late night behaviors prior to NBA games. Stephen Jackson, of the Milwaukee Bucks, has been promoting 'club tours' and hosting parties at clubs all season in visiting cities and many have fallen on the night before games. For example, tonight the Bucks will be getting in Toronto around midnight because they play the Raptors tomorrow. Well Stephen Jackson is hosting a party at Vogue Supper Club in Toronto the night before the Raptors game. He has been doing this all season and was suspended by the Bucks for one game already because he slept in and missed the morning shoot around after one of these. Coach Skiles has since placed him on the bench and Jackson doesn't see any minutes. We aren't satisfied with that because of the influence he could be having with young players Brandon Jennings and Tobias Harris. He needs to go.

Bucks fans are gathering and flooding Senator Kohl's inbox with how they feel about this. Fans will also be getting together to hand out flyers at the Bradley Center of the club promotion with Stephen Jackson's picture on it to inform more fans of his behavior.

I just thought this would be interesting info for you to have because it won't be long before the fans in Milwaukee force a Stephen Jackson trade before he has a negative affect on Brandon Jennings and Tobias Harris.

Here is a link to some of the fan discussion around this (includes some of the club promotion flyers that have been out there this season)

I thought about that and decided that I didn't really care. The affect he can have on Tobias and Jennings is of far greater concern. I want him gone and I don't care if we get anything for him at this point.

In the end Colin will likely not mention it until after SJax is traded. Then it becomes a bit of a story to at least mention something. I don't see him talking about it until then.

Better in the long run that they clean house in the front office/coaching staff over this debacle than we keep quiet just so we hypothetically could get Foye and Gomes in return versus Diop and Matt Carroll.

The issue transcends whatever trade value the team might get in return.

You guys are funny.

They all go out partying at night after the games anyways. Why not get paid for it instead of paying for it? He'll probably be tired after the game anyways and just stay till he finds some strange and get to the hotel.

My friend is an MMA fighter and he does appearances like this at clubs. He just shows up, stays for an hour, takes some pictures with fans, and leaves. This isn't a big deal; I'd rather have a guy do this than have a bottle of liquor at a local tavern.

A 2 minute internet search on NBA players hosting night club parties showed that Durant, James, and Amare have hosted these also.

Seriously, they come with their entourage, make a big scene (to make patrons feel important), they shake some hands, put their arms around some people for pics, have a few drinks and fun, and leave before any trouble starts. What do you want them to do after the game? We go home (usually) because we aren't rich and have to get up at 6am; they don't have to work until late afternoon the next day; that's the NBA lifestyle (similar to having a 2nd shift job where a lot of people go out after).

No matter where they go they are going to bring publicity to that club for free anyways so they become the host to make a profit off of that. It's just a fun, easy side job plus it's easier to lure women when they already know your name; I teach workout classes so that I can get paid while I workout (which I would do anyways) which is the same principal. I can't believe you guys are emailing people alerting the press about this. lol

Hammond should be fired on that move alone. Regardless of whom he selected at 19.

He doesn't understand how to accumulate or manage assets.
We're going to turn this team around 360 degrees.

The guy isn't just doing some photo ops. He's playing a rap show and promoting his 2nd career. He's had problems with alcohol. He's missed shootarounds because of this. He's been spotted drinking on game day's. None of this would matter if he was doing the job he was brought in to do. But when you fail to perform, all of these side business actions go under a microscope.

Looks like a simple case of advance scouting to me. Not sure why you guys are getting all bent out of shape about it.

this is literally the stupidest argument i've ever heard.

Have you heard about this kid Harris? Not sure who he plays for but he had 19 the other night and I read some crazy stat that he's scored at least 12 points on better than 50% shooting every time he's played 20 minutes. Sure wish we'd traded up for him...

I keep doing that because Livingston is not a relevant piece to this team moving forward. Yeah, sure, he's a good bench player (that is starting for us because of front office ineptitude more than anything), but so what?

He can have a side job whether it is acting, singing, commercials, clothing lines, book deals, or other business ventures. Some of that stuff you have to do while you're famous or it's too late (is anyone going to buy a Sam Cassel rap album?) He's not the first athlete to miss a practice, either. If he's drinking before a basketball game or doing something that goes against his contract than we can talk. Do you have the links for him being seen drinking before a basketball game?

Because it makes it easier to overreact and hammer away at Hammond.

The trade basically boiled down to:

Maggette for Jackson
That's been a wash. On the bright side, Jackson hasn't poisoned the locker room the way The Mole did. Not yet anyway. But Maggette sucked last season and Jackson has sucked so far this season.

19/Livingston for 7
I have zero problems with this right now. Love what I've seen in terms of talent and potential from Harris and Livingston was a shrewd pickup.

Yes Jackson has sucked, it sucks he's still around and Hammond (or whoever the GM is) needs to put an end to the cycle of exchanging one problem child for another. But this trade hasn't been near the epic fail many here paint it out to be.

That will be determined by Harris vs. picks 7-18 in the coming years. Really, that was all that mattered the entire time anyway.

Luke you're my guy, but imo you keep doing it because it makes the deal look worse for Hammond.

There is no other reason to so consistently do it, Livingston has looked anything but a throw in.
