Gilbert is done for all intents and purposes.

Personally, if I was him...I wouldn't want to play anymore.

My ego/pride wouldn't allow me to take the court being a shell of what I once was.

Assuming he doesn't need the money (and he shouldnt), he should just call it a career.

President Donald Trump referred to African countries, Haiti and El Salvador as "shithole" nations during a meeting Thursday and asked why the U.S. can't have more immigrants from Norway.

Well I guess that trade wasn't as awful as you made it out to be, huh?

Not really. It netted us a useless player who is the 2nd highest paid player in the league. As for Arenas' knee, no one can really know what's going on as there hasn't been a specific problem for years now.

...who will end up costing $30M less than Arenas. $30 MILLION dollars!

And he's at least a serviceable bench player rather than being out of the league.

The gun incident hasn't hurt him as--much as his busted knee. Gilbert is done.

I passed by his house a couple days ago in Great Falls, crazy how excited I used to get whenever I'd see his crib. It's amazing how much of an afterthought Gil has become. I really hope a team stuck somewhere in the middle like Golden State gives him a shot to play some serious minutes, I think him and Mark Jackson could mesh well.

Your avatar make me want to hurl.

Got me thinking. Name a HOF player who started his career looking so stupid.

Just not the sign of a mature humble person.

Symbolic of what has been wrong with his franchise. Players like that. Someone asks you to do that. You answer. No. Then .. Hell no.

Walls biggest problem right now is Wall. Give me a Derrick Rose type any day. Even Rubio seems more focused and mature. That is what I want in a PG. Not flash. No more Gil/AI types.

I don't think it's that big of a deal. He did go on to have a great night (29 points, 13 assists, 9 steals) in only his 3rd ever NBA game after all. If anything, that loose and fun version of Wall suits his game better.

Free agent guard Gilbert Arenas has scheduled a workout in Los Angeles for later this week, according to league sources, but the Lakers haven't decided whether they will attend it.

Maybe the Lakers aren't interested, but the Clippers might be after the Billups injury.

If he stays in the NBA, it would have to be with a team with an owner whose willing to pay $30M out-of-pocket for his services. That leaves either the Lakers or Knicks. (Maybe Dallas and Miami). I don't think any of those teams are in desperate enough straights to take that on. Plus, another disincentive to signing Gil, is that it would give the Magic some $$ to get Dwight the help he wants/needs.

I could easily see him going overseas for a few years.

maybe I don't understand the whole amnesty thing.

I thought that he could be signed by a new team and only
cost that team the vet minimum unless Gil talks them into
more (like he needs it since he is still getting the ~60M left
on his Wiz/Magic deal).
