OT: What to do on a Friday after game (out of towner)

Post#1 » by Jahensle » Mon Feb 6, 2012 11:48 pm

Hey guys,

I'll be attending the Bobcats / Bulls game on 2/10! My friend and I are in our mind 20's and want to know what to do after the game since it is a Friday night. We will be staying in a hotel in located in Mathews and plan to cab it before and after the game. What are the best "party" type bars in the uptown area, any recommendations? All suggestions welcomed.

Thanks!

The EpiCentre is right across the arena. Has plenty of bars/clubs/restaurants for your entertainment.

Howl at the Moon seems like a pretty cool place that I have wanted to check out but haven't gotten around to it yet. It is right down the street from The Cable Box. There is all kind of stuff on East Trade Street and the surrounding area.

If the Bobcats are holding open try outs you could give that a whirl? Never know your luck, you might get to start for us next game.

try the epicenter, as others suggested, as a starting place. it is located right across the street from the arena on the bus station side.

My experience with after game bar stops, people enjoy themselves better if the home team wins. In your case I'd hope things work out for the Bobcats that night.

Check IR wires before game and maybe you can suit up and play if we are down by 30 end of 3rd quarter...or join a group of us Bobcats Whinners at Up Town Caberett.. Ask for the Bobcat Bertha Special at your table.. Can't miss her ...Chews Tobacco and missing upper front middle tooth.

lol well thanks for the advice. I'm 6'2 190 (ding...get that reference?) and wrestled JUCO my first two years at school. Maybe that can get me on the D-league roster? anyways, thanks!
