The 2014 could be good. I think the question may be less about value, and more about direction.

Personally, I think two things:

1. it would make more sense for the Lakers if Walton could be sent out.

2. it would make mroe sense for the wolves if a third team was involved, turning the value we get into a player that can help us now.

yowyOw wrote:WTF? Is this a joke? That trade is TuRRIBLE for the Wolves. Beas is our best asset. Morris and Ebanks are not even playing right now (I think Ebanks is injured). The TPE is useless and every Laker fan says that. And the picks don't have any big value since both teams are a lock in PO.

Luke alone has more value than their whole package.

Lakers fans are deluded and desperate.

PS. I'd give them Luke (not Beas) if instead of Morris and Ebanks they were sending Goudelock.

.

Beas is our best "p[otential" asset that could soon turn out to be el zippo if he cant get his poop in a group.

I was tempted for a minute, but I have to say no. I want to resign Beasley to be our 6th man, or trade him in a package for a major upgrade (Granger, Iggy, etc.). Acquiring those picks is nice, but it's time to start winning.

If you can turn those picks and other crap into OJ Mayo or Brook Lopez I'd think about it.

I don't think that 2014 pick would be worth crap, even if Kobe retired. It never takes a market like the lakers long to reload. They will have a big name FA waiting to sign there and plenty of capspace the second he retires.

I voted DO IT assuming Williams gets to play SF and that the picks will be used in trades.

Kahn having 6 1st rounders to trade could help us get a great SG. Or we might end up with 40 second rounders instead. I think it would be worth the risk.
