Nike FuelBand is getting lots of hype.
I'm against picketing but I don't know how to show it.

Yup $150. My son wants one. It comes out 2/22, I'll wait and see how it works in "real life".

I've been playing pick up bball games at the Shell every week night for the past 3 weeks. Before that I always had night classes so I could only go a few nights a week. I've dropped around 15 pounds in the past year though through a mix of pick up games every now and then and light lifting so hopefully more bball will equal more weight loss.

FuelBand doesn't sound like it's for me. "Fuel" points...don't really care. I also don't care to wear the thing the whole day. Just need distance, cals, time, HR, maybe steps. It looks like it takes cals and steps, but the rest is missing and replaced by fuel.

Hadn't heard of Motoactv. Looks interesting, but again it's $250.

The Nike+ watch sounds like pretty much exactly what I need. I just wish it wasn't $200.

Wanted to bump this. I set a couple personal goals for 2012 and I hit one of them already, felt pretty good. How is everyone else doing?

Haven't really been setting any goals, but been keeping up pretty good with 2 weight sessions (emunney's workout), 3 AB Rippers, and three days of basketball per week.

Very nice Luke, consistency is so key. I need specific goals to keep me hungry, but as long as you stick to a plan then you're winning.

How's it working out?

I'm moving into a place mid-March that has a fitness center at the top of my apartment building. I am super excited to get back into shape.

Em's workout is tough. My issue is that a lot of the time, I don't feel like I can put my full strength/energy into it, as night is the only time I have to workout. But I'm feeling a little more explosive during basketball in the legs. I love the Ab Ripper workout. 15 minutes and keeps the core tight.

Yeah, my plan is something like this:

Monday: Lift + Ab Ripper
Tuesday: Basketball
Wednesday : Ab Ripper + 30 minutes on the treadmill
Thursday: 30 minutes on the treadmill
Friday: Lift + Ab Ripper
Saturday: 30 minutes on the treadmill
Sunday: Relax or 30 minutes on the treadmill

During the summer they have a pool too. So I'll be swimming instead of running from time to time too. :)

Haven't worked out in a few months, but my weight is pretty consistent at 167-168 at 5'11". Anyone into nutrition have an idea what amount of calories I'm suppose to be taking in? I feel like I am really under eating, possibly unhealthly, at about 1500 or less.

P90X 2 has a lot of core work. Uses a stability ball for a lot of moves. Some moves are repeats from the first one. That's hard to avoid.

p90x is some tough stuff. I got through the first 6 weeks and got into pretty good shape but it was tough to keep up with it after. I might take another stab at it.

Out of all the days, I hated yoga the most. I found it to be the most difficult out of all of them.

I need to train for a 1.5 mile run. What's the best way to go about this?
