I completely understand Deron/Dwight going first, but beyond that it should be relatively open.

- everybody sends their offers in to whoever is the agent, commish, etc.
- top three offers are put out on a voting thread
- each of the three teams can make a public offer post convincing the FA to choose them
- the league votes (max 30 votes), and that's where the FA goes.
it might be more work, but it sounds interesting.

The problem with that is teams would have to be shown and at that point your jeopardizing people's opinions by which landing spot benefits them the most. I agree that Dwight/Deron need a neutral observer to decide where they are going, but I'm convinced that those who are running the game are capable of making a sound decision. You could extend the "agents" into tier 2 and 3 as a compromise.

But it's not always clearly one or the other. If the Lakers in real life offered KG the veteran minimum, but the Pacers were offering 10+ million to him, KG would have a very hard time turning down that offer from the Pacers. Maybe for the top three tiers, list what is the preference of the players for example Kevin Garnett (chance to win title, money, playing time, location).

Agreed. Some time it's impossible to do ranking based on other priorities, but it really doesn't take more than 15 minutes to rank the teams. I did it last night and in a sleep deprived state and it took me less than 15 minutes to rank and jot down a quick note.
