The Knicks won their third in a row with Lin in the lineup. He went scoreless in the first quarter and was cut on the chin from a collision with Wall, but Lin finished with his first double-double — 23 points (9-of-14 shooting) and 10 assists — in a 107-93 win. In three starts for New York, Lin is averaging 25.3 points and 8.3 assists.

damn that kid's legit. a contender for MIP and a late candidate! 3 straight games ain't a fluke in my book.

I'd be bothered if I was a NY fan. Amare would benefit from this kid but Melo?

wonder if jr smith steps right in.
Getting JR won't be as easy as Clipper fans or others for that matter think. Unless they're looking to use the TPE's they got.

Bottom line is I don't think they get him. We can offer him a bigger role for sure.

Naw, he was on the Mavs training camp squad, then we offered him a contract and he picked the GSW deal.

I disagree Deep. playing alongside Kobe is intimidating. I don't think JR is the type that is willing to share the ball. he's a natural scorer. playing with CP3 is a different story. he'll definitely get the looks and Paul will be willing to give the ball to him. now financially it may be complicated for the Clips but as you've said it can be done.

don't get me wrong. I want JR to wear P&G but as for having a bigger role, I think he has a better shot with the Clippers.

If I want Jeremy Lin and the Knicks to win make me a Knicks fan now? Nope, it just mean I'm really asian.

Makes you a player fan, and an Asian success fan.

I really want the Knicks to win every game now for a bit, then start losing every game when Melo gets back. He's a cancer and finally people are seeing it, I hope he makes it super obvious for the rest now.

Curry and Nash are killing it for my fantasy team. Efficient PG's are awesome

found this on the Bulls board

To get a 23 yr old pure PG of this caliber for the MLE is a major coup

if melo plays like durant in this system, we would be the best team in the league. Imagine suns with defense, thats the best in the league.

What he's done over the past 3 games is no fluke, it's the work of a truly special PG.

Like I've stated in another thread... I take Lin + Chandler over Chris Paul himself.

When Stat and Melo come back and as long as they both score 20 points plus per night, I would sign up with Lin getting 14 points 12 assists [per game].

Now we have a top 5 C and a very good PG for $15M combined.

Gotta thank some basketball Gods for Lin.

If Lin starts a full season and plays a full season with Melo and Stat, there's no way he averages less than 10 assists per game.

Lin is Steve Nash 2.0.

Lin is not Nash. Nash is a deadly long range shooter. He strikes me as more of a Jason Kidd type, especially given his 6-3/6-4 height.

The ceiling for this kid is scary

Lin is a young player now so I think he is better than Kidd, but a younger Kidd would have transformed this team in a similar way. And Nash of course. Someone made a Tony Parker comparison which has some validity too.

And by far my favorite one:
I can't really think of many young guards as good as Lin has been so far. I don't consider Paul or Deron young guards anymore. And I'd take Lin over Deron at this point, though not Paul. Lin really may be one of the best new guards with Rubio and soon considered to be in the top 5. If that is true, then he could make the All-Star game next year. If he keeps this up, his efficiency and production would statistically make him the first or second best PG in the league.

Wow...just wow.

But that's just the thing tugs, Kobe loves guys who aren't afraid to be aggressive. We are loaded with too many passive guys on this roster, JR compliments Kobe's game from A-Z. JR fits both teams, but it's a slight chance his role here will have a bigger impact than on the Clippers. The Clippers...and mark my words, will one day squabble about shots and minutes. No way they stay that deep for a long time. Remember the Blazers was this same team just 3-4 years ago, and look at them now ?

I'm supremely confident he's have a bigger role here, the shots are available here.
