Rookie DeAndre Liggins may not have played tonight (or this season), but that doesn’t mean that Stan Van Gundy isn’t pleased from what he has seen from him. As of 7pm yesterday, Liggins contract became guaranteed for the remainder of the season. Stan pointed out that despite having been here only 2 months he has already gained 15 pounds of muscle. The key for Liggins will be to just gain experience. At the moment he is buried on the bench, but keeping him around all season, the Magic are clearly pleased with the off-court development they’ve seen.

15 pounds of muscle in 2 months? That's pretty solid growth for anyone, but considering his size he must not have lifted much in college.

He isn't going to lose weight watching games from the bench. I reckon he has plenty of time to lift weights and train.

It would've been awesome if we found a way to sign him. but, him being a restricted free agent was going to be impossible to get him.

I'm sure Shaq will have plenty to say about Orlando and Dwight come AS weekend.

This.

He's done enough to this team already.

I'm not worried, though. We could've signed TMac for the Vet Min this season, and instead chose to sign JRich to a 4 year contract. I think we hold grudges.

Would Shaq really be that much worse than Otis Smith at GM? Atleast he would be entertaining lol

BTW- since Steven Jackson is gonna be moved any day now, any chance we should see a S-JAX for TURK and 1st RD pick? or another combination

No way the Bucks would trade for Turk. They can get much better for SJax.

I'd love Shaq as our GM. The guy is a basketball savant. Oh wait.

plus, didnt Earl Clark gain weight once he was traded here? maybe our stuff isnt great at recovering injuries, but good at putting on muscle.

I think you are 1 of those guys who UNDER values our talent and over values others. Capt Jack is a baller, but riddled with problems. Im with the other dude who says giving up a 1st is ALOT! I would give a couple of 2nds, but you do realise that he is TROUBLED in Mil, and they want him out. please, tell me what better deals they could and would get other than Turk and 2 2nds?

Arthur

Steve, do you think Howard gets traded at deadline or the magic keep him and hope he changes his mind in free agency? Thank you

Steve Kyler

I think they have to see where they are in 30 days.

Also I think the real question is what can Orlando do to add in 30 days… If they could pry a real star out of someone to pair with Dwight, that might change their thinking… if its clear that the Magic won’t compete then maybe they come to grips with the inevitable.

I do not genuinely believe Orlando has made a decision yet on Dwight… I think they have to revisit at the deadline on March 15th and really see whats there.

I think the Magic’s first goal would be to add to the current roster in trade, but if Dwight won’t commit thats when a decision has to be made.

As did Dwight......Not to be THAT guy, but just MAYBE, the Flintstones vitamins are coming from us.
