I also would like Blake to get his rest and skip the event. I was surprised that he played in it last year.
I've been an LA Clipper fan since 1998 and that will never change. I hate our new logo and jerseys!

It would be great if Kevin Love didn't make it.

Surprised that DWill got in over Jennings and Rondo.
And Dirk said himself that he wasn't All-Star worthy, heh. No Jazz/Nuggets representation despite their winning records is odd.

Re: 2012 All-Star Weekend News & Updates
The biggest snub imo is Josh Smith. Deron Williams and Dirk are usually no-brainers but neither is really having an all-star season imo. Dirk's numbers are down across the board and Deron's team is 11 games under .500.
Shaq won the coin toss in the Rising Stars game and will undoubtedly select Blake first.

Agreed, Josh Smith is more deserving than Joe Johnson.

Re: 2012 All-Star Weekend News & Updates
The All-Star reserves from both conferences are interesting. What I'm surprised at is on the West reserves there are no swing men coming off the bench. I guess we'll see how it all plays out when All-Star weekend comes about.
I've been an LA Clipper fan since 1998 and that will never change. I hate our new logo and jerseys!

Re: 2012 All-Star Weekend News & Updates
BBVA Rising Stars Challenge
Norris Cole and Jeremy Lin have been added to the rosters by Commissioner Kenny Smith.
First 7 picks must be 3 frontcourt, 3 backcourt and a flex player. The final 4 will be done via a blind draw, so nobody's feelings are hurt.
Team Shaq
1.) Blake Griffin (Clippers, Sophomore)
3.) Jeremy Lin (Knicks, Sophomore)
5.) Ricky Rubio (Timberwolves, Rookie)
7.) Greg Monroe (Pistons, Sophomore)
9.) Markieff Morris (Suns, Rookie)
11.) Kemba Walker (Bobcats, Rookie)
13.) Landry Fields (Knicks, Sophomore)
15.) Norris Cole (Heat, Rookie)
______________________________
Brandon Knight (Pistons, Rookie)
Tristian Thompson (Cavaliers, Rookie)
Team Chuck
2.) Kyrie Irving (Cavaliers, Rookie)
4.) DeMarcus Cousins (Kings, Sophomore)
6.) Paul George (Pacers, Sophomore)
8.) Derrick Williams (Timberwolves, Rookie)
10.) Marshon Brooks (Nets, Rookie)
12.) John Wall (Wizards, Sophomore)
14.) Gordon Hayward (Jazz, Sophomore)
16.) Tiaggo Splitter (Spurs, Sophomore)
____________________________________
Kawhi Leonard (Spurs, Rookie)
Evan Turner (76ers, Sophomore)
I expected Chuck to kill Shaq in the draft. Charles has better versatility and size. Shaq has 5 pg's! I do like the Griffin and Monroe frontcourt though. Wall at number 12? Ouch.

Re: 2012 All-Star Weekend News & Updates
I knew that Lin would be added to this. I saw no way that the NBA wouldn't have him in this event.
