People talking about how Brandon Jennings or Lou Williams should have made it instead of Deron

They said that All-Stars should be selected based on winning basketball...um, no it shouldn't. Being selected is an individual achievement, and it's an award based on how good you are as an individual. Team success shouldn't matter at all. True, you PROBABLY don't have an All-Star caliber player if your team sucks, but that's not always the case...Deron is an example of that. What about Wade when the Heat won 15 games? What about Pierce all those years in Boston? Kobe in LA from 05-07? Chris Paul with NO? Plenty of star players played for crap teams, doesn't mean they didn't deserve All-Star selections.
Kenny Smith said that it's easy to put up big scoring numbers on bad teams, but that actually doesn't make much sense, especially if he watched the Nets at all this season. It's anything but easy for Deron to score. He's talking about average players that look better than they are on bad teams, because somebody has to get the stats. But that's not the case with star players, imo, because if someone is a legit star on a bad team, the defense throws everything at them (which is what Deron's experienced this year), and it can make life very difficult for them.
Then when EJ pointed out that Charles is contradicting himself, because he said Love was an All-Star last year, when the T'Wolves were a crap team, and Charles said that you can't fake rebounding, which is a load of crock. That's probably the easiest thing to fake.
I found myself agreeing with EJ and Shaq to be honest, they were actually saying that you should pick players based on their individual abilities, not just based on how good their team is.

Otherwise, I agree
