The more I think about the game the more I realize how tough will it be to win.

Bynum and Gasol are very good and they will probably put Tyson Chandler in foul trouble.Other than him we have no post defender on this roster so Bynum and Gasol will murder us.
Kobe is Kobe,no need to discuss about it.

Lakers also played a tough game against the Celtics last night so they will probably be exhausted. They won so they probably won't be so desperate for a win and maybe they don't take us serious like the Knicks often do with below .500 teams.
Those are the things that go in our favor.

I think we can beat them if we start strong early, get the crowd involved and then catch fire from downtown. Something like 5-6 threes by Novak and 5 by Walker.
Chandler needs to stay out of foul trouble.

It's such a damn shame Jorts is injured. He's the one guy on our roster who could punish Bynum physically. I watched every singe one of UK's games last year and Jorts was my favorite player. This guy is somewhat similar to Lin in that he was completely overlooked early-on, but when Kanter was ruled ineligible, Jorts excelled.

Come back soon, Jorts. We need you.
Tanking again, I suppose. Is there any other way?

I wanna see a lot of Lin to Shump tonight. I think Sumpert can have a major breakout game due to him playing more of the 2, Lin finding him in nice spots, & him playing his game instead of trying to do too much for a prime time NBA worldwide broadcasted game against the Lakers.

if the lakers are competent in the least they will win this going away. it would seriously be a miracle for the knicks to win with this line up. two imposing bigs with only chandler and jared jefferies to guard them ? not to mention how kobe plays in the garden.

lin better have new career highs in points, assists, and rebs

tyson has to stay out of foul trouble, and probably have a 20 and 15 night

novak needs to make at least 5 3s

fields, shump, and walker better be lights out as well.

but thats too much to ask so i expect a loss. get back soon amare!!!

For what Bynum did in the Playoffs he shoulda been fined $300k and suspended the first 27 games of this season. Damn thug.

And then he shoulda been arrested for assault and battery! Arrest the prick, dammit!

our strategy should be to double off of Artest all night long and funnel the ball to him for 3-point jacks. Don't let their big 3 beat you. I'm assuming that will be our game plan because that's exactly how teams have been beating the Lakers.

This is the the perfect game to give jerome jordan some solid minutes. At the very least he's a big body that can give 5 hard fouls to preserve tyson. Lets see if Mustache grew a brain after the emergance of Linstin Novakaski and has learned to use the bench

Mike Bibby went to All Star PG a couple years back to scrub that avoids playing time. The same thing happened to Jermaine O'neal, their injuries have long healed, so what makes them to decide 1 day to forget how to play the game at a high level?

They didn't "forget" to play. They lost their lift and quickness. That's why they're playing like they are. Bibby can't get to the rim and JO has no lift in his legs.

I just hope Lin doesn't get injured, MD is in "saving his job mode" and will run Lin into the ground, lakers will zero in on Lin and force the other players to step up, Lin proved his first game wasn't a fluke, the one thing that worries me is Lakers have some big bodys and shot blockers, Lin coming down that lane will most certaintly get hit. Although we have been winning we have been relying on the jump shot too much, when I look at the stat and only see Lin and Chandler going to the free throw line that worries me and just proves how much we are going to need Melo and Stat for this team to be successful against the big league teams.

Good post.

I don't truly agree with the free throw assessment tho.

Just about everyone who has gone into the paint has shot free throws.

Fields took a few, even Jeffries shot like 10 against the Nets.

As long as Lin can penetrate which he has shown he can, if the Lakers choose to foul, I think think it will be a long night for them.

The key to protecting Lin in the paint will be our players creating lanes for him to operate.

The will have to set some "man" picks.

Lakers always seem to have problems with point guards who can create and penetrate. Lin should do well tonight. Not sure how our decimated front line will do though.

I think the Lakers try and play Lin like they did Rondo last night. If so we’re about to find out how good his jumper is.. If they do try and play up on him, he’ll get into the lane at will. Lakers guards can’t defend for chit other than Kobe of course.. I think his jumper will be up for the task though..
