Not so. It was your contention. What truly matters is whether or not a player is fit to play at a high level, regardless of age. Right now Pau holds the edge. And, barring unexpected injuries, should also have it in the future. He's "younger" by all accounts save birth date. Pau also has a shorter contract, making him more desirable for teams in win-now mode. All in all, Pau has a higher chance of finishing his current deal as a serviceable player than Randolph has. It's a fact.
Anyway, I was never suggesting Memphis should have Pau back. All I'm saying is Pau has more value around the league than Randolph. Actually, few starting PFs have less value than Zach unless he comes back fully healthy.
