That isnt realy true. He got his second foul at the end of the 1st quarter. Samardjiski would have subbed him even without that foul call.

He played bit in the third but since Rytas started cruising Dzikic benched him for the rest of the game and let the crappy Samardjiski play. It wasnt the fould trouble as much as it was Rytas keeping the control of the game for the most of the time.

Awesome. I'm really looking forward to seeing this kid in a Raps uni. Regarding his foul issues, what are the numbers for that same period? ie. Fouls in Eurocup's Last 16 in 24.4 minutes of PT and per 48 mins

But boxscore sucks as always, he had 2 blocks for sure in the 2 quarter.

He has three blocks from the play by play record, but they appear to have credited him with three steals instead (one column over in the box score). Call it a clerical error.

Val's efficiency is really what sets him apart for me. He's ridiculously productive at an insanely (yes, insanely) efficient clip. My god I can't wait to see him dunking on everything next year.

I think we'll need to temper our expectations a little bit. If he doesn't dominate in the Lithuanian league, he's not going to dominate the NBA. Especially not in his first years. He'll need to get much stronger.

I'm not sure it's foul trouble or not, but he's not even in the game and it's close and going down to the wire.

Rytas lost to Zalgiris and Rudupis this season, not Neptunas

Well he is averaging 16 pt 7.5 rebs 1.8 blk on 71% in 23 minutes I would say he is dominating

What do you think he'll put up here then? and why does he play so little?

I'm not saying he won't be good for us, or that he'll fail in the NBA, but if people may be expecting too much out of the gate.

I would imagine his age, seniority and the fact that he won't be there next season all play into his mins.
