Has Thibs lost that much confidence in Boozer? We need to do something to get him going and that pick and roll worked an absolute treat in Utah.

Yessir, Thibs need to get him goin' and try to play to his strength. Need to see more pick and roll with Boozer.

I think we are progressively seeing more and more of it at this point.

It seems like it.

To my eye, i've noticed more of it since he came back from the toe injury, cut down on the perimiter shots and re-gained some of his own form in the 3-9 range,

I've seen more of it with Noah though, as Noah has been night in day in finishing at the rim compared to early in the year. But i too have seen a few more of Boozer's nice catch in motion in the paint, and finish with an extended left hand.

i think noah is getting more pnr with drose, mainly b/c boozer will space the floor better in the paint for noah to have a better driving lane.

teams pack the paint when boozer is running it with drose, so that is why we have not seen much of top of the key drose/boozer pnr. thibs is making adjustments on the offensive side and using alot more variation on the pnr to mix things up.

drose not being 100% is actually a blessing in disguise
“He don’t care (about offense). He just cares about defense. When we come down or shoot a bad shot or whatever, he don’t really care about that. -Rose talking about Thibs

5-7 were my favorites.

In 5, Boozer catches the ball in the bottom of the circle and is basically at the rim before the D realizes what happened. 6 and 7 were very similar, high mid screens where Rose throws a pass to Noah for a single dribble and move to the hoop. One was a bounce pass; 7 could have been but instead it was a jump pass and both ended in hard flushes at the rim, which was awesome.

In the two dunks with Noah, Rose and Noah run it in a very NashAmareian way. They both run to the rim together to give the PnR the same effect as a middle one.

I feel like this shouldn't keep sliding to the second page.

We're talking about a foundation for Chicago's offense here, and it's pretty cool. More than anything else, we're seeing the most effective spots and uses for Chicago's big writ large in video form before our very eyes.

This is pretty cool. :D

Yeah this is an awesome thread. We have had several of these threads about the offense and the defense. Rose has gotten better at not going full speed around every pick and lets plays develop a little more I think thats BIG.

Here's some more video of what helps beat the blitz. The goal for beating the blitz is not allowing the big man to come out to the pick and roll so he has to wait back towards the paint. When Rose gets a defender in his face the second he crosses half court, we can start running the ultra high pick and roll. This pick and roll is so far from the basket that the defense is broken hopelessly. This forces the defense to have to trap the ball handler. If they don't, Rose will slalom his way all the way to the rim over and over; the defense is too spread out to have any chance of stopping the drive to the rim. Here's two examples:
