Re: LA Clippers (15-8) @ Philadelphia 76ers (18-8)
I loved this game. The Clippers post-season successs is going to be contingent on being able to win games where you shoot 38.8% FG and 10.5% 3PT. That means limit turnovers (like usual), play good defense and crash the offensive glass. Good to see that kind of ability. Tough game, great defense by Iggy on the last shot, and great defense by the Clippers down the stretch.
Gomes, I'm sorry, but you're making it harder for people to be happy with you when you make plays like tonight, lol
Just to add, the Sixers poor FT shooting definitely helped in this one

I usually don't stick up for Gomes, but that wasn't his fault. Blame Vinny Del Fail getting bailed out by CP3 once again.

Great job, they are ugly games sometimes but who knows what would have happened if I did the game thread. Like I said I'm laying off of them for awhile. Good job LionOfJudah. Continue the win streak for us.
I've been an LA Clipper fan since 1998 and that will never change. I hate our new logo and jerseys!

That is true, Gomes shouldn't have been inbounding, they should have run a few more screens to get guys open, so yea, I'm not mad at Gomes, but poor guy, things aren't working out for him this season.

Ugly win, but good teams find ways to win. Right right y'all.

Reggie was a crazy on the glass.
I agree, not Gomes fault. Y'all are so hard on him. The inbounds play was fine, except the personnel wasn't right for it. You had no big men to set the screens so it was easy for the Sixers to go around them. Butler was the only one that create space by himself without a screen so yeah.. they needed Griffin or any big for that play to work.
Not to mention, it was a terrible call to give Butler that foul anyways.
CP3 ftw.

Re: LA Clippers (15-8) @ Philadelphia 76ers (18-8)
The Gomes situation was like putting in Ewing. It's not all on Gomes, and was really a huge mistake by Vinny.
I like Gomes as a person, but the dude is not helping his case on the floor.
Congrats LOJ for getting a win on your first gt. This game was as hell, but an ugly win is always better than a pretty win. It was important for the guys to win one without Chauncey. His loss gets a little understated imo. He was the team's 3rd leading scorer behind Griffin and Paul, and he was knocking down 2+ 3 pointers a game. We've been terrible from 3 since he went down. Our perimeter scoring/shooting is something that we need to improve as the season goes on. Spreading the floor is going to make things much easier on everybody.
Next up is Charlotte tomorrow. They were just beat by 31 to Chicago tonight. They have lost their last 12. We better come correct and play how we should.

How was it not Gomes' fault? He made the bone headed decision. This guy isn't some rookie who's taking a step to the big league. He's a veteran who's playing in a normal regular season game. Guys like him should not be flustered in situations like that, but he made a stupid mistake. CP3 bailed out Gomes.
I honestly don't know what's more annoying, the players making stupid mistakes, or fans always pointing the finger at Del Negro every time something bad happens, and keeps their mouths shut when good things happen.
I'm not even a fan of Del Negro, but holy **** we're 16-8. Give the guy a damn break until crap hits the fan.

LOL. That's Reggie's favorite saying. There are a bunch of Reggie-isms in the locker room and the most famous one is "I ain't lying". If you have twitter, you'll see he says it a lot.

Gomes has never been a facilitator, ever. So far this season he has been right there with Brian Cook with how awful he's been. Out of CP3, Foye, Mo, hell even Caron, you throw in Ryan freaking Gomes to make the inbound pass when we're up by 1 point with 20 seconds to go? Being 16-8 doesn't mean crap if that's the type of things that will happen in the playoffs. And I won't even get into the wonderful jumpshot brickfest during the first half.. You can take it how you want, but fans will call him out when he nearly loses us games with asinine decisions like that.
And give him a break until crap hits the fan? I'd rather crap not hit the fan at all.
