Vote: Eric Gordon

Nominate: Paul Millsap - The fact Greg Monroe is on there before him is the most ridiculous thing I've ever come across on an NBA site.

First off, not sure you understand nominations at this point, we are nominating "worst" contracts.

Second off, I was probably one of the people voting for Monroe, and he might have ended a little high, but he is definitely worth more than Millsap is.

Monroe: 21 years old, 6'11, 16.4 points, 10 rebounds, 2.5 assists, 1.5 steals, rookie contract.
Millsap: 26 years old, 6'8, 16.5 points, 9.7 rebounds, 2 assists, 1.4 steals, not a rookie contract.

Monroe seems very comparable statistically to Millsap, but he is significantly taller and significantly younger and currently paid much less. Trade wise, Monroe could get much more than Millsap could.

Now, give me a reason why Millsap should have more value.

DeMarcus Cousins: 21 years old, 6'11, 15.4 points, 11.40 rebounds, 1.4 blocks, rookie contract.
Derrick Favors: 21 years old, 6'10", 8.1 points, 5.8 rebounds, 1.0 blocks, rookie contract.

Can ANYONE explain to me how Cousins is NOT in the top 25 of the NBA's most valuable players? Has anyone seen the improved #'s he's putting up since Smart took over? The hate for him on here is ridiculous...

That being said.

Vote: Derrick Williams

Nominate: Ron Artest(I refuse to call him that stupid name he made up) and Luke Walton(dont care he only has 2 years left on his deal, paying this guy 5 dollars a year would be a waste of 5 dollars, let alone 5 million).

Do you realize Favors isn't in the top 25? And hasn't even been voted on making the 25th spot yet? So comparing Cousins to Favors and saying why isn't Cousins in the top 25 looks off the mark, and sounds like your attacking windmills unnecessarily.

Now, if you want to compare Cousins to someone on the list so far, feel free to. For instance:

Monroe: 21 years old, 6'11, 16.4 points, 10 rebounds, 2.5 assists, 1.5 steals, rookie contract. {Also 24.2 PER, 58% TS and 1/1 A/TO, no known altercations or suspensions}

DeMarcus Cousins: 21 years old, 6'11, 15.4 points, 11.40 rebounds, 1.4 blocks, rookie contract. {Also 20.6 PER, 50.4% TS and 0.3 A/TO, known suspensions and altercations with teammates and assistant coaches}

vote: Hibbert

nominate: Johnson and Childress

really, this one is hard.
here is my top 15 of worst contracts:
- Joe Johnson $107.2m left
- Boozer $60.6m left
- Rashard Lewis $45.9 left
- Hidayet Turkoglu $34.2m left
- Tyrus Thomas $33.4m left
- John Salmons $31m left
- Andray Blatche $30m left
- Josh Childress $26.9m left
- Charlie Villanueva $24m left
- Mike Miller $24m left
- Metta World Peace $21.6 left
- Corey Maggette $21.1m left
- DeSagana Diop $14.3m left
- Matt Carroll $7.4m left

I'm indifferent about (and thats why I only listed 13 so far):
- Drew Gooden ($26m left) his box scores say he's good, but Bucks fans want to ship his *ss out. indifferent about him
- Amares contract ($83.4m left) is completely uninsured... IF he gets another knee injury, he's a candidate for worst contract.
- Brendan Haywood ($34m left) common price for a starting center on a playoff contender, his value however, could be the fully unguaranteed last year(BUST-chip), which netted Dallas a championship center the last time.
- Richard Jefferson (30.3m left) is a horrible contract, but the Spurs are winning... he's also shooting lights out from three point land, seems to fit the Spurs scheme.
- Chuck Hayes ($22.3m left) has serious health issues, I think I've read somewhere it's about his heart condition. can't say more, because I rarely watch Kings games

Vote S Curry

Nominated Most untradeable...Joe Johnson, Charlie V.

Tempted to say Kobe, his contract at this stage is so huge few teams can or would do it.
Artest/Peace is worthless now...but JJ's $$$ hit as he ages is just stunning.
Were Rashard Lewis a year longer...he'd win this contest.
CENSORED... No comment.

I put Favors on there because he was nominated before Cousins was, and the only reason why Cousins made the list was because he added any player that had multiple votes last round.

And you should pull up Cousins stats since Smart took it, he's really improved on almost every single stat (including FG%).

Oh, I'm with you that he makes more sense as a nominee then Favors. But I'm not sure there is anyone in the top 25 he edges out yet. Give him a year of improving performances and no more drama, and I think he makes it. But right now its hard to put him above any of the names voted already before him.

I still think you could make a pretty damn good argument that he should be on there instead of Monroe or Harden, but because of the drama this year, I could see why he wouldn't be. I was just wondering how he hadn't at least been nominated yet (until the last vote). Take away the drama and "problems", and there's no young big with more promise and a better set of skills than DeMarcus Cousins.
