Free Alec Burks

Post#1 » by FJS » Sat Feb 11, 2012 8:16 pm

I know, there's another problems like Harris, or why Kanter and Favors can't get more playing time.

Still, I think we should develop Burks.
He made some mistakes, being a little selfish, but the guy has assassin instint and he is instant offense.
Our second unit sometimes it's not pretty good scoring and I think we need him. Miles is being better lately, and Bell too. Still, we're not playing lately as a playoff team, so there's no need to play vet with 1 year contract like Howard, who is playing worse every game.

Burks with 4 straight DNPs and the Carroll signing may spell the end for Burks in Utah. TRADE?

I totally agree.

He did get a whole point today. Which meant he saw the court for a bit. Yay.

At least he didn't play worse than Howard. Was glad to see him get on the court. I really do think he is going to be an outstanding players some day.

Burks looks like he could add a couple more lbs to me.
"Thibs called back and wanted more picks," said Jorge Sedano. "And Pat Riley, literally, I was told, called him a mother-bleeper and hung up the phone."

There just isn't any room for him right now and honestly, other than the garbage minute scoring spree's, he hasn't looked all that great when he gets in there.

I think some moves will be made at the deadline that will free up some time for him (I'm guessing CJ is traded) but until then, he's not going to see much PT.

I would imagine that CJs trade value is as high as it's ever been right now. He has been playing well enough lately.

And finally Burks is watching some playing team and playing really really great.
6.6 ppg with 46FG% (remember he did not began shooting pretty well) in only 14 min per game is really great. (8.5 ppg with 53% FG, 2 rpg, 1 apg, in 18 min post all-star)

He is gonna better than CJ Miles, Brewer and probably Matthews, and they were starter for our team.
I only hope Bell doesn't play anymore.

He's a natural scorer, the likes of which I don't think the Jazz have seen from a wing player for decades.

He understands how to get to the rim, how to get to the line, and when to use his better than advertised jumper.

I love him.
