very depressed tonight because our rebuild is a disaster.

We have sucked for 3 straight years(3 high lottery picks) and all we have to show for it is Wall. Booker look decent but for as much as we have sucked the past 3 years...the lack of talent on this team through the draft is outrageous.

Well I'm sure it went something like:

Lebron: Hey John, I've been thinking about how much I'd like to play in DC for a while now. Do you think there's any chance you guys might trade for me?

Wall: Well Lebron, see we've got this kid Vesely and Ernie is really high on him, so even if we did trade for you, you'd probably have to come off the bench or something.

Lebron: aw shucks. I guess you're right. Well, try to put in a good word for me anyway.

^ditto.

Was it just a "hey good game man, hang in there etc." or was it much worse?

Well, in fairness, we took Mike Pence off their hands. Taking back Mahinmi is the least they can do.

I had the opposite reaction. Nice to see Wall getting some dap from two of the very best players in our league. I appreciate the encouragement they're giving to him given what a tough go he's had here.

Not at all... Unless they're telling him "hey bro, this team is some shid, sign here when your deal expires in 2 years"

Funny, I was thinking exactly the same thing to the effect of "Just hang-on bro, bounce when you contract is up"

Really hating his game at this point. His dribbling is terrible. It stops of offense. What happen to the catch and shoot Flip tough him. This is how he was years 1-3

Nick gone
Mason gone

Bring in some new guards.

Agreed. Nick has really disappointed me this year. I expected him to be much more of an off-the-ball threat than he has been this year. The thing is, he's capable of being a threat in that area, but he doesn't run off screens very fast like guys like Korver and Ray Allen. He's always jogging off screens, which makes him much easier to guard. Basically everything he does is 1-on-1, and I'm really not a fan of 1-on-1 players that can't get to the rim. I really glad we didn't extend him long-term.

Wall, Booker and McGee played well. They just need a couple players who are shooters who can hit from outside.

They need to make a move soon. This roster is getting stale

Nick needs to go. Same with Mason.

Clearly for the future, they don't need Dray. So what can you get for Dray and Nick besides a hamburger and fries. I can see 3 new players on the team before the year ends.

Hoepfully we don't go after better options this year, because it'll hurt our chances at Anthony Davis.

Wizards were at the line, and LeBJ was at the opposite corner (across from Heat bench) jawing with some fans walking off the floor. I thought they were gushing Heat fans, but it went on a bit too long and he looked a little put off. Cracked me up. You're the greatest on the planet, and you get caught up in what some drunken fan has to say.

Three Heat fans behind me seemed to think everyone in the arena was gathered together to see Lebron slam dunks and nothing else. That's about all they talked about, louder and louder as they drank. When the slam seemed imminent, they go, "Here it comes...here it comes...OHHHHHHHH!" Get a room.

Dexter Pittman looks almost buff now. If the Heat made him do that, then why can't...oh, forget it.

Has someone compiled a highlight reel of Javale's colossal slam dunk misses?

I liked Wall's game tonight. Booker's too.

Yea I miss Shaun Livingston. He really plays with heart and balls.

Context really matters.

I wouldn't touch that with a ten inch pole.

Ahhhh. Finally a game from John Wall I liked!

For the most part, he played unselfishly, set up ball screens nicely and played under control. There were still lapses and plenty of areas for improvement, but nonetheless a start. Again, I think the stats "lie" given that a 7 turnover game was his most "under control" yet. And to the point others were making when he was having 6-7 assist games, tonight he would have had 15 assists if teammates had shot the ball better.

Stats "lie" part deaux: McGee was awful again despite big numbers.

I can't believe how far Vesely is from contributing at all. I assumed he'd be at least a useful energy player in his first year.

All other players look exactly like they do every other game. More Booker and Seraphin please.

I was particularly pleased with one play in the first half where Vesely set an excellent high screen. Wall curled around it nicely, then hit Maurice Evans with a beautiful cross-court pass.

Of course, Evans missed the open three, but I hope it's a sign of things to come. :P

Vesely has been a major disappointment. I can't believe that he came out of the top 10 in the first round.

I was against the Veseley pick when we made and still wish we had taken Leonard there but fact is from day 1 everyone new he was going to be a project and he got 0 offseason time, I am pretty sure he was only there for half of the short training camp and had an injury early on. Personally I think some of his just general basketball instincts and energy plays are things I didnt expect, he is definitely in the deep end right now and at best is up and down but the guy just needs more time before he can be written off.

FWIW, I thought McGee did a much better job setting screens tonight. He wasn't Charles Oakley or anything, but at least he stuck around long enough to make contact with the player.

McGee always seems to have good games against Miami, just like he always seems to have terrible games against the Magic.

It is just bad coaching to not know Javale cannot hang with Howard at all. I would love to see Seraphin and McGee together at times.

I would also like to see Booker effectively play SF at times.

CCJ, maybe Javale needs to learn that if he wants a longterm deal, he needs to get tougher? Javale has the same body type as Tyson Chandler, but Tyson has ALWAYS been a man on the court. Javale acts like a girl so much that it infuriates me. Simply playing horrifically against the best in the game seems to me like McGee shouldn't be paid nearly what he'll ask for in the off-season.

Really ? I think Ves is doing a lot more than most thought he would this year. Most thought he would be burred on the bench and get push around when he was out there. Actually he is a useful energy guy. Are you saying he isn't ?

As for more Booker and KS. I agree.

Yes. That would be nice wouldnt it.

How about all 3. Booker, KS, and McGee with Wall and your choice of Nick, Mo or Crawford.
