I'm not disappointed in Hayes at all, I am disappointed in how he's used. He's a complimentary player with nobody to compliment. Hayes would strengthen the defense of the core unit, the backup unit is just there to buy time, don't see the point or the value. I don't like that 2nd unit, Hayes needs to play next to Cousins and JT, he can compliment those guys. Hickson and Hayes as a platoon unit just doesn't work.

On a positive note i think that eventually smart will recognize that unlike westphal.

Hayes is value subtracted. All the excuses being made for him are fluff. Liability on offense--a big who shoots 38.8% from the field, not to mention his 63.2% FT%. Can't rebound--he's too short. Can't defend--everyone he guards has above average performances; why? because he's short and out of shape. Can't pass--1.1 assists, 1.0 TO. Stats aside, just watch the guy on the floor. He contributes zilch. He does not make us better. He is a liability on both ends of the floor.
