I sent an email to the league managers to vote on Roto style or HTH style to keep it democratic.

The draft date is set at this point though, you have to schedule it in advance and they won't let you change it. It will actually open up a few waiver wire opportunities so that should be good too.

Oh Really? Strange.. all the leagues I've commissioned in the past on Yahoo allowed you to change the draft date anytime prior to the scheduled date.

You can change draft time. Check under commish tools, there's a whole draft management section.

i never gambled in my life or bought a lottery ticket, but being familiar with yahoo fantasy games for years, this really intrigues me

Their percentage take is insane though. 70/240 for the low end and 300/1200 for the high end? And that's for the exact same game as far as I can tell, just if you put in more money they keep a **** ton more too. And you have to play their default settings so the options are actually worse than the default free yahoo. If all they did was ask for the money up front and bank it at whatever awful interest rate they can get, they should still be able to make piles of extra cash based on how enormous they've made their service.
