From reading this quote he should have decide to get rest, and not try to play through it never really a good idea when you have a back spasm and play through it unless you are 100%.

We already know this. He said on Friday that he was going to try against the Bobcats. Then Watson told reporters that he already knew on Thursday that Rose would be out.

Seems like the Bulls have made it a conscious effort to be as vague and secretive as possible when it comes to injuries. Very Belichek/Patriots-like.

I wouldn't read much into Watson's quote. When you read it, it looks like he "reasoned" Rose would be out because it would be stupid to play him not because someone told him Rose would be out.

I saw him give the answer in the post-game interview.

It was direct. It was like CJ was told earlier that he would be starting.
