#43- Dallas and Chicago

Dallas Gets: Rip Hamilton (5 mil) + Jimmy Butler (1 mil) + 2013 Chicago 2nd
total= 6 million

Chicago Gets: Delonte West (.85 mil) + Vince Carter (3 mil)
total=3.85 mil

Chicago is under lux tax so 100 percent + 5 mil rule works.

Dallas does this because we don't like west and carter and hamilton fits our style great

Butler - $1,020,960
Rip - $5,000,000
Total - $6,020,960

West - $854,389
Carter - $3,000,000
Total - $3,854,389 (just in case...)

Chicago accepts. We've been trying to unload Rip's deal for a while and this is the best we're gonna get; and we're happy. Wince is showing that, at least for this year, he's more serviceable than Rip. He's filling his role in Dallas very nicely and we'd be more than happy with that for now. In the long run, we'll save $4,000,000 when we buy him out next season (compared to Rip's $6,000,000 butout). West lets us shift CJ Watson to backup SG for the time being, and gives us another useful bench option. Nice dealing cb.

Chicago gets a $2,166,571 TPE from this deal.

Trade #45: Los Angeles Lakers - Atlanta Hawks

Los Angeles Lakers Receive:
PG Ramon Sessions ($4,257,973)
SF Andres Nocioni ($6,650,000)
SF Rudy Gay ($15,032,144)
2012 1st Round Pick (from Sacramento)***
Total Salary: $25,940,117

Atlanta Hawks Receive:
PG Derek Fisher ($3,400,000)
SF Luke Walton ($5,680,000)
C Andrew Bynum ($14,900,000)
Total Salary: $23,980

Lakers reluctantly accept.

This was a really tough thing to do in parting ways with Andrew Bynum, but ultimately he and Dwight Howard could not coexist together. In this deal, we get a young SF whose averaging 19/7/2 and playing really good defense. The shear salary savings of shedding Luke Walton and Derek Fisher clear nearly 9.1 million off the books by getting Nocioni's contract which is essentially an expiring. And then we get a new, better PG to run our offense in Ramon Sessions. The first round pick is just gravy.

***2012 first round draft pick to Cleveland
Sacramento's own 2012 first round draft pick to Cleveland (top-14 protected in the 2012 Draft, top-13 protected in 2013, top-12 protected in 2014, top-10 protected in 2015, top-10 protected in 2016 and top-10 protected in the 2017 Draft) If Cleveland has not received a first round pick from Sacramento by 2017, then Sacramento shall convey their own 2017 2nd round draft pick to Cleveland provided it is within the top-55 picks. If it is not, then Sacramento's obligation to Cleveland shall be extinguished. (Cleveland-Sacramento, 6/30/2011)

ORL sends:
andre iguodala ($13,531,750)
marc gasol ($12,922,194)
jason richardson ($5,395,000)

$1M cash considerations

Total: $31M

PHI sends:
Dwyane Wade ($15,691,000)
Mike Miller ($5,400,000)
Joel Anthony ($3,600,000)
Shane Battier ($3,000,000)

Total: $27M

within 150% as well as 5M. i basically flipped dwight/ryan anderson/jameer for dwade/jrue/battier+pieces. not bad considering wade and jrue are both long term commitments.

Glad to welcome Iggy back to PHI, always been a favourite of mine. Gasol/Jordan is interesting, two pure centers. Jordan will probably have to go.

ATL accepts. I really wasn't getting what I wanted for Gay, so I decided to take on a bit of salary to get an All-Star starter, 24 year old Bynum whos putting up 17/13/1/2.1 on 54 FG% as a 2nd option. I feel that he can be a great piece to build around. I also love that I don't have to give up another core piece (Thompson, Augustin, Turner) to get him. Taking on salary isn't bad since it's only through 2013, in which I will have a ton of cap to work with.

#47: CHARLOTTE AND NEW ORLEANS

Charlotte Bobcats send:
$1,579,920 - Jeff Teague
$2,750,000 - Eduardo Najera

New Orleans Hornets send:
$7,000,000 - Marcus Thornton

$7,000,000 - NOH
$4,329,920 - CHA
$2,670,080 - Difference

Charlotte has the available cap space for this deal.
I really tried to hold onto Teague as long as possible, but getting Thornton could be a nice trade piece, or better yet, I could keep him to go forward with my plans for this team.
Dammit...:

I've got Nurkic fever now.

Accept. Maybe rushed trading Thornton, but we like Teague. Teague's producing on a winning team, while Thornton's getting his points on a losing team. Plus we like that Teague's cheaper, younger, and better on D.

Edit: Trade #48

MIA and PHI have another blockbuster trade to announce.

PHI trades:

Andre Iguodala $13,531,750
DeAndre Jordan $10,079,404
Jason Richardson $5,395,000

= $29,006,154

MIA trades:

Kobe Bryant $25,244,493

= $25,244,493 * 1,25 = $31,555,616

Why for MIA? We fill all of our needs.

We turn Kobe/Parker/Jordan into Kobe/Gasol. We now have a small/big combo we can try and build around.

trade 49

NY and NJ have a trade

NY trades
T.Douglas $1,145,640
TJ Ford $ 854,389
totals $2,000,029

NJ trades
Stevenson $2,500,000
2012 Miami 2nd
$2mil in CASH CONSIDERATIONS

NY does this for the money and the pick. We want to clear away Knicks and its nice to finally have a pick that isnt protected or promised to others, even if its late. And he, its good to have the Kobe stopper on your team if your playing in the EAST (lol, thats a joke!)

NOTE: after the deal since we have an open roster spot, we will sign SG, Mychel Thompson to a rookie min contract for the rest of the season

Took a few revisions, but NJ accepts. TD's a good shooter and I really like him as a change-of-pace PG off the bench backing up D-Will.

Kings Trade

Jimmer Fredette (2,238,360)

Total: $ 2,238,360

Jazz Trade:

Gordon Hayward (2,532,960)

Total: $ 2,532,960

This is part 1 of a 2 part deal...Kings make this trade to clear salary for an upcoming Blockbuster deal. We also like Haywards game, and feel he can be a valuable player in the rotation.

Unless I'm mistaken, that TPE should be worth the 5.25 million equal to Hayes' contract. It's two part trade that acts simultaneously since you can't combine players with TPE. The Hayward for Fredette part is the first part and the Hayes for TPE is the second part.

Kings Trade

DeMarcus Cousins (3,627,720)
Tyreke Evans (4,151,640)
Tyrus Thomas (7,305,785)
Donte Greene (1,679,914)

Glen Davis (6,300,000)
DeAndre Liggins (473,604)
Justin Harper (473,604)

Total: $ 22,938,208

The Kings do this deal because a change in culture needed to be made. The need to return this franchise to it's days of exciting playoff basketball not seen since the great clashes against the Lakers was #1 on the agenda. Bringing Dwayne Wade aboard is 1 step closer to restoring this franchise to it's old winning ways.

Welcome aboard Dwayne...

TRADE #53

Cleveland Cavaliers receive:
SF Luc Richard Mbah A Moute ($5,000,000)

Milwaukee Bucks receive:
PF J.J. Hickson ($2,354,537)

Cavs agree. We originally traded Hickson away for a reason (which still exists). LRMAM will be a nice fit in the rotation. We have enough cap-space to cover the difference in salaries.

LRMAM wasn't in our future plans and Hickson is younger and cheaper.
