I'm just messing with you.

If they had a stat for most bad shots taken relative to overall fg attempts i am sure Crawford would be "leading" the league.

I did, however, always temper my enthusiasm for Crawford by saying that he, like Young, has question marks, but his contract situation is far better suited for our rebuilding than Young's, so we should not commit money to Young and instead run with Crawford. I feel like this is still a valid point, sadly made valid by the poor and inconsistent play by both players.

Now I've just given up on him. He kills the team play right now, and there's no point waiting for him to improve, because even if he does his potential of 6th man is pretty easy to find. Go ahead and trade him for Babitt.

I'm still extremely happy we did not pay Young. He does not play within the team framework and is a ball stopper. Can you imagine how crushing this season would feel if we had signed Nick to a 35/5 contract?

11 shots a game and shooting .359 and .270 from 3 land.

That is pure crap.

Time to time the tree and Crawford and Mason are the low hanging branches.

But I am a little torn if we are really after a high draft pick. They both are tank commanders.

I can't wait till this team is past this start the rebuild. It sucks having to decide between crappy players, improving and high draft picks.

And the legend continues...BUMP!

Big Balls has been saggy balls in Boston so far.

Some of the posts in this thread are hilarious too. Same people who were crying when Crawford was traded was dumping on him in this thread...

The good thing is that we received equal value in the trade. Oh-wait!

Oh come on....

We all know Crawford will have some good games. But before last night, his TS% as a Celtic was 40%.

PIF, the point being is that Crawford had some value beyond a salary dump, but Ted/Ernie dislike juggling assests, they'd rather just give assets away.

Got you. But I think I disagree. We cleared $2+m for next year; assuming nothing prevents us from using it, I see no trouble picking up someone who contributes as much as Crawford for that $. Now... I'm not suggesting that Ernie will use the $ wisely, don't get me wrong.

I'm glad to see the back of Crawford. Have to assume there was no other deal available.

There's plenty to complain about with EG. We don't have to go out of our way to make up something out of nothing.

Crawford has been slightly worse in Boston than he was when here. He is posting a TS% of .485 and a PER of 12.9 (thanks to some flukey good per-minute rebounding). That's barely above replacement level. I'm not going to get all bent out of shape everything Crawford posts a half decent game. We Wizards fans, of all people, know what to expect from Crawford. When he's playing well, he looks really good. Unfortunately, he kills you on days when he doesn't play well, and that tends to happen more often than not.

Crawford hasn't shot well with Boston to this point.

Here's an unexpected thing though: He's helping the Celtics in other ways. He's moving the ball, playing defense, hustling, and mostly providing lots of energy off the bench. He seems to be working hard at fitting in.

...the saga continues...
