lol our team has no swag.....but in reality i don't think we'll get him just because of what he supposedly wants.....he wants money plus a significant role....New York should be the spot....He would be a starter there plus he would be in the "Mecca" of basketball

JR is the kinda character Dwight likes. As we see Dwight clownin on the floor all the time, JR would fit in with Dwight.

Would it be good for Stans health? HELLLLL NO

Would it be good for our ball club? ABSOLUTELY

he is crazy, but it would be for a few months, we need some swag, we need something different on this team, he has skills (although dumb), i would like the move because it gives us an option for a trade, hypothetical, him and nash would really change the offense, or we could trade someone for a backup point guard or big and not lose depth, i guess i would be ok with jr because of a future trade

Looking at this article Simmons says that 28-49 on his trade value rankings are worth ¢.50, or his "Borderline All-Stars, former All-Stars, and up-and-comers" value.

So we'd need to put together some sort of package around that value. Anderson is the only player we have that fits that bill, and I'm not sure I want to trade him for Nash. Nelson, Hedo and JRich have been in this category before but are currently not playing near there. Maybe the Suns bite on them giving them some of their old production and pull the trigger as a favor to Nash?

A bill simmons article? really?

We can offer him the most money .. And if we're really interested in him, that would mean a trade is in the works ..

If we could have this starting lineup after the deadline, i'd be on the Otis Smith Bandwagon again

Nash
JR Smith
Hedo
Ryan
Dwight

That lineup is A LOT better than our current .. That team can go far

I like JR a lot more than JRich .. But I think everyone has an opinion about him. He's younger & way more athletic than JRich. Give me JR over JRich all day

I used to like his articles but it was never for his basketball knowledge, he is a comedian that writes about sports, who is very biased and knows very little about anything other than boston and trending subjects.

someone that actually takes it to the rim is interested in coming to ORL? hey, i wouldn't mind him, he has attitude issues, but, we do need some Grit, wonder if it happens, who would we move, Redick or Richardson?

This is the same scenario I played with last night as well. Sucks giving away another draft pick to the suns.

As for Smith, he'd be nyce here; but if we can get Nash, JRich will put up 20+ pts again. I'd surely prefer younger legs but is the attitude & possible friction with SVG worth losing the JRich production with Nash?

Why not let JR come off the bench and be our big time 6th man since we would lose Meer & JJ in this trade scenario.

Nash
JRich
Hedo
Ryno
Dwight

JR
BBD
Q

As 3 main guys off bench

That works too but would he accept coming off the bench again? If not, more reason to be a distraction. I think his talents would flourish next to Nash & Dwight but I'm a bit concerned with his maturity level. And we don't exactly have strong personalities in the locker room to tame him.

If this exact situation played out we'd have Nash on the team, maybe he would "tame" him.

Very possible but I don't see Nash as that type of leader. Maybe Nash/JRich, combined, can handle it but I just don't know. Chemistry is tricky and a big part of success.

Yeah... not an accurate description of Simmons at all. Have you read his book? The guy knows basketball.

I found this really interesting...not sure how you guys feel about Simmons, but IMO he's pretty good at these rumors, so heres what he said:

http://dallas.sbnation.com/dallas-maver ... cks-rumors

Nobody feels sorry for [Deron Williams] because he ruined the last year of Jerry Sloan's career, and for that he remains in NBA Purgatory - at least until he signs with Dallas this summer. We're all supposed to pretend this might not happen even though it's a bigger summer lock than Michael Phelps winning a gold medal. I haven't talked to one person "In the Know" who isn't 100 percent convinced that Dallas is getting him. But let's all keep pretending this isn't true.

So obviously this is huge with regards with Howard and the Magic.
Dwight Howard on his FT struggles:

"I just think everybody needs to stop talking about it," Howard said. "There's more to life than free throws."

100% sure?

If that were the case, then why the hell does Dwight even consider NJ anymore?

NO NO NO! Stop giving away draft picks! whith this deep of a draft we are not gonna give away no draft picks. this sounds like an Otis deal straight up.

Not 100% on this but I'm pretty sure Orlando can't trade their 1st this year even if they wanted to
