It seems to me that we are in the worst position in this trade.

Although Houston does give up five players for Pau Gasol, who, for all they might know, could be fading.

I like it. I like to see Goudelock included for us and maybe Tyrus going to LA. I wonder if LA would go for McRoberts and Walton for Tyrus?

The only problem with either idea is we will have to cut someone and who knows if MJ will allow Cho to cut the chosen son.

I'd be fine with that. It leaves us woefully thin at PG and this draft isn't that deep with PGs, anybody we'd pick up w/ the 2nd rd pick would be pretty terrible, probably.

Lakers would laugh this one right off the board. Scola is a nice player but he's no Gasol. Carroll is a salary cap tragedy. Not sure why the Lakers would add two point guards when they already have one.

Also, Thabeet makes Diop look good. And Terence Williams is a headcase.

That trade slightly improved.

The Bobcats lose DJ, but more importantly lose Matt and DeSagana. The Bobcats get a PG back in Flynn. Hes not that great, but hes only 22 still. Hill gives them frontcourt help. Diop for Thabeet is a wash talent wise, but they save money. They also create a $2.6 trade excemption. The only reason not to include Diop for Thabeet is the idea of amnestying Diop, but I honestly think MJ is keeping to use him as expiring in a trade. This trade keeps that idea going.

The Lakers still get DJ and Scola. Flynn would've been a 4th string PG with the Lakers, they replace him with a young wing. Matt still stays filler for the Lakers.

Houston still gets Pau and adds a "more experienced" big to their depth chart.

Except that they have supposedly been shopping Pau and the Rockets have been the main team that is interested.

Referencing my original deal post trade Thabeet for the Knicks 1st rounder this year and I really don't see how it'd be a loss for us.

Stockpiling offensively inept African centers, That sounds like a plan!

It is just 1 C and I said I would take him out for the Knicks 1st round pick.

To the bigger story I could not even get a reply from Slam in a deal involving us getting Terrence Williams, I am kind of worried!

Because we'd lose Hammer? We'd basically be trading D.J. for a draft pick, a possible lottery pick at that.

The Knicks 1st rounder. It is only Top 5 protected, I don't think they will finish high enough to keep that.

How are we getting the Knicks 1st rounder if the trade is between us, the Rockets and the Lakers????
