Hornets tanking. He will probably miss most if not all of the season with "knee bruise". Then be declared to have a clean bill of health next season :)

Well, they gotta do something since it turns out that Minny pick won't be that great after all... ;)

#Hornets Eric Gordon will have surgery on his injured knee and will be out another six weeks, the Hornets announced just now.

^That just seems stupid. What did they want EJ for then. He's barely played for them.
I've been an LA Clipper fan since 1998 and that will never change. I hate our new logo and jerseys!

I don't think they expected him to be injured. I had my doubts that he was actually that injured, but I guess he is. There is still an opportunity for him to play in April, but there won't be much for them to play for then. It's truly is in their best interest to tank for a top pick and pick it back up next season.

what an amazing run. not too many asian american pro athletes to begin with ( all asian athletes so far as been asians from overseas, like nomo, ichiro, yao, chanho park, irabu, matsuzaka, etc etc) but to have an undrafted guy (asianamerican or not) come out of nowhere and not just prove to be a decent starter or a role player but a stardom? i am still waiting for this miracle run to come to a dead stop and he is proving me wrong each and every game.
ehhhhh f it.

I was keeping tabs on the game with the ESPN app on my phone, couldn't believe the comeback and win. Then I saw the highlights and replay of that last shot, then I was really floored. Not just that he won the game, but the theatrics of it all, getting the ball at half court, looking over at his coach and getting the okay for the iso, waiting, waiting, the crowd rising to their feet. Then bam, he nails the 3. Unbelievable.

He didn't have the best overall game, but somehow someway he actually managed to outdo the Laker game.

SEATTLE - A source tells KING 5 News a press conference is scheduled at Seattle City Hall Thursday to announce a deal on a new sports arena complex.

Chris Hansen, a former Seattleite, and current San Francisco hedge fund manager who has approached Seattle about his interest, is reportedly in Seattle.

Hansen recently purchased property south of Safeco Field on Occidental Avenue South, south of Massachusetts Street.

Mayor Mike McGinn confirmed last week that negotiations are underway with Hansen to build a new arena in SODO.

According to City Council member Tim Burgess, the mayor asked him, Council President Sally Clark and Council Member Bruce Harrell to come up to the mayor's office on Wednesday afternoon, where they were introduced to Hansen.

I heard about this. I'm glad for the city of Seattle. Who do they get if it all works out? Hornets seem like the obvious choice. I heard something about the Saints' owner and Dunleavy were interested in buying the Hornets. The Kings are another likely choice. How attached are the Maloofs to the Kings/Royals history? Their family formerly owned the Rockets. They have vowed to never want to sell again. Are they more concerned about just owning a team or do they care about the franchise as a whole? Any team going to Seattle needs to be known as the SuperSonics.
