Hawks at Lakers: Game Thread

Post#1 » by Superiorblogman » Wed Feb 15, 2012 1:32 am

Lakers favored by 5 and going up. Too much size for the Hawks. The tweener Josh Smith will have problems guarding the big Pau Gasol whom we traded away years ago for another tweener in Shareef. Zaza will probably find his problems as well.

Our true hope here is that Teague takes advantage of there guards and is allowed to do so without Joe worrying about numbers and Josh killing things by trying to be the PG and Drew taking him out for Hinrich who can't take advantage of anyone.

At the end of the day, I think we get beatdown again but I will watch some of it. Not staying up pass halftime if we are down by double digits.

wow, Great thread.

the core
Marvin guarded by Bryant
Joe guarded by Artest
Josh guarded by Gasol

the book ends
Teague guarded by Fisher
Pachulia guarded by Bynum

What does tweener Marvin do? Does Billy Knight's 6'8 SFs plan come together for the Hawks tonight?

Hope you are being sarcastic because I just threw this together. I am not too interested because nothing about this game including the outcome will impress me.

Gonna be a great game. Bynum gets the rebound, hops twice to turn around, then gets the "and one" with Zaza standing there with his hands up in the air.
My mother told me, she said, "Elwood, to make it in this world you either have to be oh, so clever or oh, so pleasant." Well, for years I was clever; I recommend pleasant.

Just once, I'd love to see Drew sit Josh when he gets the rebound and then plays PG, "leading" the break.

Bynum has a wonderful double-spin move, where he covers about 15 feet, all without dribbling. Great move.

Lakers having a bad game and we're hanging in there. Gasol struggling against Josh and Bynum's killing us. Josh Smith could be sooooo good. Is Teague's ankle still a little bit gimpy?

And, remember when Dwayne Wade doubled up Joe in the 1st half? I'm proud to say Joe's doubled Kobe this half (please just don't ask me the details - it sounds better the way I'm saying it).

Still, when LA starts hitting their shots...

Zaza is such a good basketball player. If only he could jump higher than 2 inches....

I spoke too soon. We must be tired. All of a sudden, someone pulled the plug on us.

I continuously question what is on the snack table at halftime.

Zaza pulls the chair on Bynum, he takes about 6 steps, great move by Bynum.

Well, Elvis used to take barbiturates after taking speed. Maybe?

My goodness, there's our PG, Mr. Smith, right there.
