But seriously, I'll go ahead and say this is the best shape Wade has been since 08/09, if you ignore the games he was injured and watch the first two games of the season and this stretch, he's in the best shape SINCE the Olympics.. He's averaging 25 on 55% shooting in like 33mpg since he's returned not to mention he has a career high in bpg IN REDUCED MINUTES.

That Noah machine has done wonders for his jumper, if he didn't fade so much it'd probably even more accurate. The only thing he really needs to do is get his rebounds back up to 5 a game.

Turnovers are at a career-low, both per game and per-36 minutes.

Steals and blocks at career highs per-36 minutes

Turnovers are at a career low because he has the ball a lot less. He still has some dumb ones every now and then. I just wish he got back every time instead of occasionally sulking/cherrypicking after a turnover

Yes and no. His TOV% is only .1% off his career low (which was in 08-09), so even given the effects of reduced touches, he's still turning the ball over less often almost ever. 08-09 was 11.6%, this year 11.7%, and the next best year is 09-10 at 12.2%.

So that's still a pretty decent sized gap with the rest of his career. Last season is was 12.4%

As to other point though, I agree, probably his worst habit is not getting back in transition after either (a) a turnover or (b) missed layup when he thought he got fouled

Yea this is what annoys me most about Wade, though there are times where he blatantly gets whacked on the arm or so,he still needs to put that anger and transfer it into what could possibly be a chase down block instead of moping on the turnover or missed call.

The Trio's Free Throw Shooting in February:

Wade .871 FT
Bosh .825 FT
LeBron .800 FT

Heat currently the 6th best free throw shooting team in the league this season:

1. OKC .791 FT
2. HOU .788 FT
3. MIL .788 FT
4. IND .788 FT
5. POR .786 FT
6. MIA .781 FT

...Let that marinate.

Hope Wade gets to 85% in free throw percentage. We really need someone close to automatic at the line.

Does better freethrow shooting someway relate to more stable/better jumpshooting? he obviously has better arc on the shot, i think it might improve his confidence on the jumpers.

Wade's been ridiculous overall in the 10 games since the Chicago game

Code: Select all

Per Game

FGA    eFG%   FTA   FT%    TRB   AST   TOV   PTS    GmSc    TS%    TOV%
16.5   .545   6.8   .882   4.3   4.1   2.1   24.0   19.4   .616   .082

Per36

FGA    eFG%   FTA   FT%    TRB   AST   TOV   PTS    GmSc    TS%    TOV%
19.4   .545   8.0   .882   5.1   4.8   2.5   28.3   22.8   .616   .082
But in his home dwelling...the hi-top faded warrior is revered. *Smack!* The sound of his palm blocking the basketball... the sound of thousands rising, roaring... the sound of "get that sugar honey iced tea outta here!"

I think the recent surge of making FT's got us up that ladder, because during the 1st road trip and after that, we were one of the worst... it even cost us a few games :|

But I'm glad Wade is the becoming the best FT shooter on this team. We need somebody reliable and knowing him, he will shoot FT's in a close game.

We could probably have won a couple more games if we had better FT shooting.

It's one of the few things that is making a difference between a close game and a blowout, and they're getting a lot more rest now.

Man, I miss young Wade. Older version of Wade is better, but younger Wade is my favorite of all time. Played his heart out and attacked relentlessly, not looking for calls. This video gave me chills:

YOUNG WADE FTW!

Wow, Just realized that Wades dislocated left shoulder was a result of a pass from Shane Battier.

Yep. I wonder if Battier teases Wade about that. Consequently, Wade probably balled on Battier's chin whenever they up against each other in practice.
