RULE CHANGE: The new CBA states teams can carry between 13-15 players on their active roster. But the new collective bargaining agreement comes with a wrinkle. Thirteen players (previously 12) can dress and play through Feb. 6. From then on, the NBA introduces a weird change as teams will still be allowed to dress 13 guys but only 12 can play.
So essentially, 13 of the 15 men are allowed to dress, but once the 12th man steps onto the court then the 13th becomes inactive. With the return of D.J., and the Feb. 6 date behind us, I thought that the nepotism experiment would be put on hold. However, when Cory Higgins entered the game tonight, he became our 13th player on the court. I looked at all the other games tonight, and we were the only team to play more than 12 players...and this is the first time we've played more than 12 since the Feb. 6 deadline. So, does anyone have knew/better info on this rule? Or did we somehow get away with playing too many guys? I was really looking forward to having a healthy 'Cats team with only a 12-man active roster...
