Options for a Beasley Trade

I know his value is rapidly declining, and most teams aren't going to make a bid for him but hes entering a contract year and it would be foolish not to try and trade him.
What are some realistic deals that can happen?

Maybe 3 team deal Dallas gives up a 2012 first or future first for Beasley to provide some young scoring, we get OJ Mayo back as a 2 guard who can create his own shot. Grizzlies get the first rounder, and Luke Ridnour since they desperately need a backup pg? What are some other ideas you guys think?

Teams with capspace this summer will just wait till he hits FA. So these team won't give us anything good for him. Only teams like the Lakers who may need scoring off the bench can give us some minor assets.

I would hope that we can trade Beasley to the Lakers for TPE & LAL+DAL 1sts. That would be pretty sweet. Lakers do really need a SF/back-up PF. And his scoring can ease Gasol/Kobe's minutes a little bit.

getting 2 picks for Beas is a pipe dream. I'd settle for just one.

Exactly why I included Mayo, Memphis knows hes probably not going to resign. Somewhat of the same situation with us and Beasley. I know their asking for a first for him, dream would be to swing one from LA or Dallas. then ship that with Ridnour to Grizz. I'm by no means sold with Derrick Williams, but him and Wesley Johnson should beable to split the 3 and provide some sort of production with their athleticism.

Miami got 2nd rounders.

Beasley is in high regard on Pistons board for some strange reason. Beas for Prince? Not too hot. Beas for Stuckey? Looks better but still they just don't have much on that roster.

I think Stuckey would be a good pull. He has good handles and can play the 2...

With Lemarcus Aldridge out in Portland... we may be able to send him there.

Come to think of it (off topic) but maybe its time to do a Williams for Batum swap... hmm

That would be a bad idea. Batum is RFA this summer. Let Beas, AR, Web and Miller go and you have enough money to overpay for Batum. Now if it's Batum plus Matthews then it 's good idea.

I agree. But I don't think Beasley is going anywhere. Like OP stated, his trade value is extremely low. I think he'll leave in the offseason with a low offer or no offer from Minn.

I like Beasley, I'm not interested in seeing him traded. Some consistent playing time would be nice.

Dallas owes their first to LAL from the Odom deal so they're out. Looking at their roster, they really have nothing I want so it would have to be a 3-team deal to get Beasley to Dallas. If it's for Mayo with Memphis, it would have to maybe be Beaubios. He's younger and might be sexier to Memphis than Ridnour. The salaries don't match up so others would have to get involved in that deal.

As for the Lakers, that makes a little more sense. The 2 firsts are well-protected and will be late firsts at best. I could actually see something like that happen. Beasley can create shots and would be a huge upgrade to their garbage bench. He could even start over Artest.

For whatever reason, I don't see Kahn jettisoning Beasley for small parts. I really think the only way we move him is part of something bigger. Who knows, maybe that's Mayo, but it would have to be at least for a Mayo kind of upgrade.

Minnesota gets: Martin, Babbitt

Portland gets: Beasley, Dragic, Budinger

Or

Houston gets: Beasley, Darko and a top ten protected first

That deal is sort of interesting, and I think the T-Wolves could afford to throw a first Houston's way, be it Utah's or Memphis's, to make up for Wallace being an expiring contract. On the downside, this kills my Wolves fan crush of ever getting a shot at Batum since the Blazers likely wouldn't let him go after this.

The second deal is a no-brainer for the Wolves, but I can't see Morey-McHale being fooled into taking on Darko's contract.

If it was me I would let go of Wallace first well before letting go of Batum. I myself have a man crush(no Homo) on him but I know he is not available. Younger and in my opinion equal to if not better then Wallace already. I was not sure about T-Wolves first or the fact they had that many. I would say the Utah pick

The second is more along the lines of saving more money then anything. If it makes us better so be it but if it does not then whatever. We will have more money in 2012. Top ten protrected would not be necessary since in my option you would be playoff bound

There's a rumor on the Bulls board that CHI has expressed interest in Beasley.

Hmmmmmm.

Most Bulls fans want R. Brewer +a 1st for Beas. Yay or nay for Minny fans?

No thanks for me on Brewer. I think Detroit makes more sense - something around Beasley for Stuckey or Gordon.
