Luol Deng is one of the most underrated players in the NBA. He is very good.

I hope Barnes isn't serious about staying back yet again if UNC doesn't win this year...cuz they won't. That and McAdoo will want to b*tch slap him.

What do you guys think Barnes' ceiling is?

Again, that's fine. I'd be a tad disappointed, but unless we either:

a) Pick up an elite point guard.
b) DeRozan learns how to dribble.
c) We replace DeRozan with someone that can dribble.

I've said this before, many times, but a DD-Barnes combo will be probably be so bad to watch. We've still got a mediocre swing combo, at best...as far as doing damage in the playoffs goes.

The only thing I don't want in the draft is getting a PF other than Davis #!.
Would be happy with Barnes/MKG.
If we picked 6th or 7th and Davis, Barnes, MKG & Lamb were gone would look at a trade with Utah or Houston for 2 picks to move down in the draft.

This year the BPA might not be the best move but drafting for need.
Even with Davis I would be sorely tempted to trade him for 4th and 8 to 12 pick.
Especially if we had the ability to get another 1st rounder.

Get Barnes/MKG then Beal/Marshall with second pick and late 20 to 25 1st Worton/Kabongo

We would be very young but deep

Ideal team
PG Jose/Kabongo?Bayless ( Bayless to be 6th man)
SG DeMar Beal, Forbes
SF Barnes/JJ?klieza
C Val/Amir?Gray
PF AB,Amir/Nicolson with 2nd

Really young team but good enough to get to playoffs
Jose would bring stability at PG and help Kabongo.

Luol Deng with a better jumper would have made the allstar game before this year, so I'd be pretty stoked.

Someone who can handle the ball, get to the rim, make plays, and shoot the three. Aside from Jose nobody on this team can handle the ball very well (bayless are barbosa are mediocre ball handlers)

I think he would be like a young Barbosa in terms of production but his attitude and passion would be welcomed in our lockerroom. The kid has a lot of fight in him which more then can be said for 90% of our roster.

Oh I agree, but we don't need another role player..especially if we we end picking in the top 3. The player we pick needs to become a franchise player imo.

I'm not picking on you...just decided to quote the last comment on Rivers. I really don't understand why everyone is so in love with chuckers. 3/4's of the members here would give half the roster for Jennings and then half of you guys would pick Rivers with a second pick. I want to stay as far as possible from these guys...I still have Mike James nightmares.

Now that is devoted and passion, my friend. How much does it cost? My reaction is probably an orgasmic reaction if he plays for us. Although it doesn't look promising (6th) but who knows, maybe we miraculously jump into top 3 on draft lottery.

If you're picking 16 to 24 all you want is a legitimate top 6-7 rotation guy and noteable NBA player, instead of a bust. I would say getting a real NBA player at that point is far more important than how he fits on your roster. Rivers would be a great pick in that range since he should definitely have a rotation spot in the league

I hope he's just saying it though. I'll slap him myself if he doesn't declare.

I'd be okay with picking Barnes because I'm starting to like this draft less and less. Might as well go with the higher floor guy.

I don't remember the exact cost, but it was fairly cheap(50$). Unfortunately it didn't come up with his name on the back so I had to go to a sportingoods store and do it myself. As for him not looking good at our predicted drafting position...I agree! I'll be so deflated when I hear his name picked before we have the chance to draft him.

What's got you so down about this draft? We're stacked upfront, but many PF's in this draft seem to have higher ceilings then the current guys we currently have.

Wow that cheap? Ah icic, still, the jersey looks sick, remember to utilize your triple threat and do your stepback jumper when you play on the court wearing that jersey bro.

I dont think rivers is a chucker, with dawkins running the point he's just doing what he's supposed to do, and that scoring (shooting 45% and 41% from three). He's got more upside than barnes imo although i wouldn't mind harrison barnes in a raps uniform.

Depends where one slots his floor

A Wes Johnson Xavier Henry type start as someone who can do nothing off the dribble and aren't nearly the shooters they were scouted as and who trips up confidence wise, looks like Barnes floor to me. Being generous, would people be happy if we took him 3rd and he ended up as good as Chase Budinger is now? If being an athletic tall SF with elite shooting and good off ball smarts was all it took to be Granger, maybe Budinger would be Granger. Granger can do things on the ball and attack the basket

IMO high floor/low upside can mean "average talent" a lot of the time. And I think being an average talent picked high is the biggest thing that creates busts.

Beal can shoot the ball as well as Barnes and has a much more useable first step and attack the basket game. He's also a freshman and playing well which means something. I think Beal is the best offensive prospect of him, Barnes and MKG
