JO was a nice add, but then Bryan ruined it by giving him to the Heat to help them get the cap space needed to steal our star. Clearly, he ceased to plan for the future and it cost us big. All I'm saying is, I don't have faith he'll draft anyone with any outward cockiness at all.

Agreed, and that's my biggest issue with BC as a gm. It's no coincidence that we developed a team identity of being soft during his entire time here.

Being from Compton doesn't mean you can't be clean cut lol.

It's the way you conduct yourself not where you were born. DeRozan is as nice of a guy as there is in the league. I barely see any edge to DeMar at all. Personally I would like to see some guys with a little more toughness even like his fellow Comptoner Tyson Chandler....you don't have to be a jack @ss but have a little more edge ON the court (which is what gives me some excitment about Valanciunas' arrival).

As I stated in my previous post I'd also like to see some players with more visible confidence and swagger. I don't think many of the top players have anything against TO but also look at our roster and don't think much of the guys on our team because no one stands out and makes themselves and our team noticed.

Yeah, except they have this guy named Tim Duncan who comes around once every 25-30 years and becomes the next greatest PF of all time, not to mention the best coach in the league.

I dont think rivers is a chucker, with dawkins running the point he's just doing what he's supposed to do, and that scoring (shooting 45% and 41% from three). He's got more upside than barnes imo although i wouldn't mind harrison barnes in a raps uniform.

That's exactly it, and he'll probably rise into the top-10 come draft night. Tony Wroten is a guy I think can be a huge steal though. He brings that epic swagger we need, and yes he gets high turnovers but so does Jeremy Lin at this point yet he's the talk of the town.

I love Wroten too....I think he's gunna be a steal that teams regret passing on. I gotta admit that I'm not sure how he fits on our team BUT it's about stockpiling talent. As I say that he would have some pretty sweet dishes for Val and DeRozan off the dribble. My concern is that I think he would do best on a team that pushes the ball.

I think a lot of people are sleeping on him because he's being played out of position with Gaddy there. Some people will say that's bs but look how it effected Holiday's game in college and Wroten is another big PG that's pushed to SG out of necessity. I've already seen TW step up like a stud a few times this year that makes me think with a little discipline instilled that he can work out.

I think a coach like Casey could work...if we still had Triano then I wouldn't touch him with a 10ft pole. I seriously Wroten can be the Rondo of this draft.

Glad someone else brought this guy up I brought him up long time ago after the jordan challenge has great potential and has the size advantage at his position.
He reminds me of four players not all around like them just certain things. For example rondo with their court vision/passing, john wall their games are similar and change of speeds, Jennings I guess because they are both lefty I see alot of the same stuff from them, and tyreke evans with their handles and nice moves/crossovers. Perfect pickup for raps with a pick out of the lottery I wouldn't hesitate on him at all.

^^ Agreed, I love his stye of game and certainly has some swagger into his game that we've lacking for a long time. BC better be working on the phone to grab another pick because I think Wroten has the skills to become something special in the league.

I doubt he'll declare this year, but what y'all think of Cezar Guerrero? Dude has some legit PG skills. I remember him having a lot of hype back in HS.

Everybody here knows how much I love Miller and if BC ever found a way to get Miller AND Calderon

And it's entirely possible too. He just needs to deal the vets. But that's one thing about Colangelo I absolutely HATE. He often talks about and prides himself in being that guys who's not afraid to pull the trigger on risky moves blah blah blah. We've heard it all in his interviews. But one thing I've come to notice is he NEVER takes chances in trades on YOUTH. Young talented guys with swag. Your team needs that and every good basketball team has it.

The only young guy who he traded for for the sole purpose of trying him out was James Johnson and Bayless and even in his case, you can debate that he was just a throw in. O.J Mayo was about to be given away for nothing yet BC didn't acquire him. Rudy Fernandez was being given away for free too yet BC did nothing. He always wants "yes men" and a true star is not going to be a yes man. Hell even upper echelon players like Iggy and Kevin Martin aren't going to be yes men. It's the way of the game. A player who has more talent is going to have more voice. Like I don't see why he can't understand that.

Anyways, if I'm the team owner, I'd be watching him carefully. If he passes on talent because of ego, I would fire him the minute he makes the pick.

I think Cezar is alright could be a fun player but looks a little small. I have some doubts that he'll perform that well in the league. His ceiling would be Barea but it's tough to reach that level especially if a coach doesn't give you burn.

Too bad they're not in this year's draft but I also would of loved to catch a guy like Ryan Harrow (firstly) in the late 1st or early 2nd then possible Katin Reinhardt but I have to see if his game translates in college could be a complete bust as well.

He's having a pretty disappointing freshman campaign probably due to adjustment, but don't sleep on him. He's already got a good frame for a PG, and very explosive off the dribble with terrific scoring instincts. I think he's much more talented than Tony Wroten Jr.

you literally have 0 idea of what you're talking about.

Gabe York lacks pg abilities and cannot play d1 defense yet (something required by miller). Although Gabe is a great scorer, he is going to be sitting on the bench behind NJ for the foreseeable future.
On the other hand, Josiah Turner is 100% going to be back next year and the starting pg. Although he struggled at the beginning of the year, he has played phenomenally during the pac 12 season. He can't shoot yet and his Freethrows are atrocious, but his ability to run the point and make plays has been fantastic. Nobody on the team right now has any finishing ability which severely diminishes his assists number. Next year will be a completely different story.

On saturday JT and AZ take on Wroten and Washington; I suggest you watch the game.

Marvin Williams was a bit player, a freshman sixth man, on a North Carolina powerhouse. There was an assumption, based on physical tools and athleticism but little in terms of actual accomplishment, to measure his NBA future. It was a complete leap of faith by Atlanta to draft him second overall. What the scouts didn't appreciate was how well that group played as a team, but as individuals, they never had the NBA careers one would have thought. Felton. May. McCants. The whole was greater than the sum of the parts.

In no way is Harrison Barnes a concept. He is a reality, a second year starter, and while his game may never broaden as much as one would like, you can measure his achievements, and his NBA floor - too many people try to guess at people's ceiling when they should pay more attention to the floor - is probably Jamal Mashburn, which ain't bad at all.

cool thing with Barnes is that he fits next to DD (top 10 2/3 combo in a couple years?) but you can bring in JJ for either player. same goes for kleiza for that matter.

Barnes + JJ = beastly.
