If we didn't suck so bad maybe. We need that pick!

EDIT: Also if we got Bogut we'd win more games making our pick worth less to you.

cant trade the pick anyway Chicago already has the rights to it

tho id probably consider a draft night trade of that if we ended up at like 3

like advanced said, we cannot trade a future 1st until we satisfy the conditions of the pick owed to Chicago. the best we could do is make a draft day trade where we traded the draft rights of a player for someone like a bogut.

if we landed in the 3-4 range, then maybe we should consider moving that pick (maybe with a bad contract or two for an established borderline all-star type, like a bogut (just using him as an example - not sure i would want him given his god awful injury history)

if we land at #1 there is zero chance the draft rights to davis get traded, unless its a blockbuster deal for a superstar.

I was thinking top two protected.

Say you guys get the 3 or 4 pick you can trade the rights of say Barnes (example), Diop, and Thomas

for Bogut

Correct?

If so would you do it?

We want a superstar, Bogut's not a star and this pick is probably our best chance to get one considering its supposed to be a good draft.

Come on bruh. You want us to trade a top 4 pick in a deep draft for an injury prone center just to unload two bad contracts. You could at least try to sweeten the deal with your pick at the back of the lottery.

OK, for arguments sake, what is the status of bogut's injury and what are his contract details? i'd probably lean towards no because bogut alone isnt going to take us anywhere deep in the playoffs and most likely he is good enough to remove us from being the worst team in the league, putting us back closer to no-mans land in that 30 win area. but a biz and bogut frontcourt would be hell on defense, thats for sure.

This is a lose lose for both teams. Bucks get more horrific contracts added to their roster that already has an abundance of them, and we give up a great pick for an injury prone center. Sure we rid ourselves of two toxic contracts, but Diops is off the books after next season anyway, and we can always use the amnesty clause or even try to trade Thomas if we get desperate enough.

depends. i might trade diop tyrus and #3 for bogut and Milwaukees pick next year but you seem to have taken the pick out. for just Bogut I'd rather just keep #3 and amnesty Tyrus and pursue Hibbert

Eh, I'd rather have Davis than Bogut. Just because all our good players are young anyway.
