Renaldo Balkman?

Post#1 » by QuantumMacgyver » Sat Feb 18, 2012 7:48 am

The Jazz have room and Renaldo Balkman has just been waived by the Knicks. I've always liked Balkman's hustle, but I haven't seen much of him for awhile... not sure anyone has.

Anyone interested?

Wouldn't mind that, even if he doesn't play he's a team chemistry guy and chemistry matters. Its kinda funny that on the day they cut him their winning streak ends. Coincidence?

A 6'8 back-up power forward not known for his offensive but his ability to crash the boards and hustle on defense, sounds intriguing.

Yes, let's continue to stockpile all the big men we can possibly hold. I'm sure they'll come in handy one day.

We've already signed a younger Balkman and he still hasn't seen the court....

We really need another backup at a position where our young guys aren't getting enough playing time. This is a really stupid idea.

If the jazz trade away Jefferson or millsap, then they are gonna need a backup big, for sparse minutes, since our current back up big is going to be starting. So maybe it would be a stupid idea not to pick up a hustle player for relief minutes.

I don't know much about Carroll, but I'd prefer Balkman.

Balkman used to play a lot of small forward, didn't he? Not sure he's still up to that, though.

He'd be great trade insurance, but he and Jeremy Evans would be fighting each other for every second they can get.
In '03-'04, Jerry Sloan coached the ESPN predicted "worst team of all time" to 42-40.
