The ABC affiliate here in Houston did a nice feature on Johnny Jolly:

Hope he comes out clean and sober

I can understand using the dream of returning to the NFL asa motivator but I don't see it happening for him, even if he gets out early.
I'm against picketing but I don't know how to show it.

I think everyone has moved on. Doubt he makes a team again, much less the Packers. Hope he can stay clean and find peace.

He had a nice pay day ready for him and couldn't stay clean. He's saying all the right things now and doing counseling etc... but once he's back on the streets look out

I always have hope that people can recover from substance abuse issues. I really hope he does begin to turn his life around. I don't think the Packers will bring him in, but I do remember Favre compelling the Packers to bring in Koren Robinson because he felt that a team environment can help him stay away from substance abuse. Maybe that'll happen again, because I do believe that an important factor in recovering from drug abuse is having a good support system. And Jolly could be a really huge piece for this D-Line if he gets his act together.

I don't know the laws in Texas about early release but the longer he's away from football the harder it will be to return. There must be some kind of parole/early release if he's talking about playing again because if he has to do 6 years he's done.
