or you can think about what that says about white people. and not just historically...white people go nuts on the internet with that crap. when you're anonymous i guess you say what's really on your mind.

lol your blatant stereotyping is 100x worse than any cloudy connotation ESPN arguably made with their headline

dont you know that ONLY white people can be racist and ONLY white people have commited crimes against other races throughout history? these are facts you just cant argue with.

Well, in fairness, we took Mike Pence off their hands. Taking back Mahinmi is the least they can do.

People get offended so easily these days.

One player says f@gg0t & GLAAD is all up in their business wanted them to work with them and make a public apology, if the word is not being used in that sense it should not be an issue.

I hear some gay people calling other people r3tard3d and they think that's ok?

Then the race card comes, in this case, I do not think this was used to be offensive to anybody, but I suppose some people would get offended.

This debate has never been about 'can this be construed as offensive?'

Of course it can. That's why when the error was noticed it was taken down, and an apology was made - ESPN is not in the business of offending people.

The question is (and always had been) 'was this an intentional racist slur, or did somebody just eff up?'

And to that, I think the evidence strongly points to it being a f*ck up. You're free to disagree though.

you know what? i don't even think it was intentionally racist. i'd bet the writer thought he was being witty or something more than anything. however, i understand how that can be offensive to certain people and it just annoys me when those people point it out and then others rush to blame THEM for being offended or commenting on it. to me, that's a fukking joke.

if you're a minority, or ri guess even if you're not, you're basically being to told to shut the **** up and deal with the racism.

that's bullshyt.

And we're in agreement there as well, that if people tell somebody else to deal with racism, that's merde de la vache.

im half asian, my mom is asian, and i'll tell you this... asians are not that sensitive when it comes to racism. we could really careless because in the community, we already think of ourselves superior to whites, blacks, latins, and jews.

im half asian, and even i think Lin is overrated

he is an okay player, but i think it is racist about all the hype he is getting. it is not that uncommon for once in a while, that an undrafted guy becomes a starter and helps his team. Lin is just getting extra attention because of reverse racism

I blame Lin for this. If he won the game, this would never have happened.

The same old over-sensitive, leftist, PC crap.

Blacks, gays, Jews, and now even the Chinese - multiculturalism is destroying our freedom of speech, it is sad. In a democracy, now the minority has the power instead of the majority, it's just not right.

When I read it I thought exactly what they wanted me to think... then I came on here read the controversy and I was like "oh yeah I could see how that doesn't sound good". And since we're counting I'm a "leftist".

Yeah its hitting close to home because I'm white and you said that means I'm racist on the internet. I'm so offended I think I'm gonna make a statement to the media asking that you undergo sensitivity training.
