Otis better move fast on Jackson because it wouldn't surprise me if NJ swooped in and stole him to further try and screw us.

I really want jax on this team. I like the possible lineups we can put out there with him as a sf or sg. His toughness and defense would be a welcome addition.

Wafer Deserves More Minutes: The Orlando Magic’s offense has been incredibly inconsistent this season and, at times, hard to watch. The team is averaging just 93.57 points and shooting 43.6 percent from the field, even with Dwight Howard’s 20.1 points per game and 55 percent field goal percentage.
While Jason Richardson has been playing better as of late, the Magic still lack players who can create their own shot and the solution to their problem is already on their bench. Von Wafer, when given significant minutes, has played very well this season and provided scoring off the bench.
Wafer has been a sparkplug, but recently fell out of Stan Van Gundy’s rotation. The numbers show that Wafer has been a solid contributor on the offensive end. In the nine games that Wafer has played at least 15 minutes, he has averaged 9.3 points. He’s shooting 49.3 percent from the field and he’s averaging 1.373 points per shot, the second-highest totals on the team trailing only Howard.
The 26-year-old is averaging 22 points per 48 minutes and hasn’t made many mistakes when given minutes. While he’s not as comfortable in the system as Richardson and J.J. Redick, who aren’t new to the team, he deserves some playing time based on his production.

If I'm NJ, I trade anybody for Jackson and then trade Lopez for Josh Smith...... Dwight will then give us the biggest "F U" we've ever seen on his was to BK...

Re: Official Speculation & Free Agency Thread (Part XI)
how about this for a 3 team deal for the 2 guys in the wiretap (Anderson + Jackson)?
DEN
in: JRich + Duhon/Harper + Bass TPE + draft picks
out: Miller + C.Anderson
MIL
in: BBD + QRich
out: SJax
ORL
in: Miller + C.Anderson + Jackson
out: JRich + BBD + Duhon + QRich
Denver get instant cap relief on Anderson's deal, and get an upgrade at SG, and a replacement backup PG. (Duhon is optional. if it's too much salary to commit to for them, swap him for a rookie)
Milwaukee get Jackson off the team, and get another big man to fill in whilst Bogut is out.
Orlando get some solid veterans to make a strong run this season, and actually get deals that expire this summer and next summer as opposed to 3 years down the track.
Dwight/C.Anderson
R.Anderson/Clark
Hedo/
SJax/JJ/Von
Nelson/Miller/Duhon?
there's some flexibility there for guys to swing between the 2, 3 and 4 to create matchup problems.

I'm all over that deal.
3 guys who I really don't want on the team anymore, and 1 I wouldn't mind getting rid of.

Not sure I'd trade J-Rich for SJax. J-Rich has been doing pretty well since returning from injury. I know SJax is a better defender, but he has been flat all season. That's a pretty risky move imo. Hedo has been less consistent, and has the more untradeable contract.

Not only should he play Wafer, he should replace Duhon with Ish Smith... and I like that Earl still gets minutes now (at Center), even with Q playing (at back-up SF)... that's okay... I just wish Wafer and ISH could get out there and just PLAY... Duhon doesn't deserve any minutes imo

This is a dangerous thought process that has gotten us to where we are now(Not trading him for Chris Paul when we had the chance) Especially since Nelson(who gets praise for his playoff heroics) also deserves a lot of flack for disappearing in the late stages of the playoffs as well.
People on this board were bitching about the fact that the guy wasn't shooting well and he was averaging 3 less ppg. Now if you can get more ppg and more assists even if it is 2 or 3 more at both statistical categories why wouldn't you?
12-5 as a ppg isn't middle of the pack imo. You're an average to below average pg who basically gets protection from our fanbase because he's been here so long. If you can upgrade you always do it even if the upgrade is only above average. We need to be actively trying to trade for Ramon Sessions who is one of the most efficient point guards in basketball when a stretch 4 is involved in the offense.

Idk about Stephen Jackson, I heard his name last night, and I said "i forgot he was on the bucks", i didnt see him doing anything good. but i dont even think i'll trade hedo for him.
I think Birdman is an ideal back-up for Dwight though, he will bring energy and he's someone who can protect the rim while Dwight is out, something we havent had since we traded Gortat. If we're not giving up much, I'd be interested in getting him.

I know everybody is going to jump on my throat for this, but I think it's a very interesting insta-rebuild. Let me preface this by saying this would be pursued IF Dwight made it completely known by the trade deadline that he definitely won't re-sign with the Magic:
http://games.espn.go.com/nba/tradeMachi ... Id=7ljhjub
Replace JJ with Baby, machine wouldn't let me.
We all know GSW has said they would be willing to "rent" Dwight for a package like this. We all know NOH is shopping Kaman and would love to get back somebody like Ryan to build around.
Just think of how deep and talented this lineup could be:
Monta/Jameer
JJ/Thompson
JRich/Q
Lee/Earl
Kaman/?
Perhaps either GSW might throw in their 1st rounder or NOH could throw in Minny pick since it won't be anywhere near as good as they probably hoped, and they are going to have their own amazing pick this summer anyways. Obviously if you could somehow keep Ryan and still get Kaman, that would be great (maybe send over JRich instead of Ryan...but then you would have the issue of which of the 3 big-men came off of the bench (not always a bad problem to have though). Perhaps you could start Ryan at the 4, Lee at the 5 and have Kaman come off the bench, and rotate the 3 guys at each position to give each like 32 min playing time, depending on the opponent matchup. I personally think a trade like that gives us a very good starting 5, and a deep bench.

Everyone keeps saying this with basically no reasoning. It's pointless to get a guy at the PG spot who can potentially put up 25/4/6? For only $11mil a year? Why is it "pointless"? And stop with the whole thing about him being "inefficient". He shoots a way better % than Granger, Thornton, and other elite-level guards. His shooting % and other numbers are right on par with Wade, Kobe. Without Curry taking some of his assists, I believe he could put up around 8 assists per game.

Because we would be in the same position as GSW. We'd suck because we wouldn't have a second star to pair him with.
