Can I get an update on Derrick Williams?

Some of you seem interested in flipping DWill, what if anything could the Cavs do to trade for him? I think this years first is off the table, but we have a protected 1st from Sacto, and a couple of Miami firsts in the future as well, though those will be at the bottom of the first round.
Would something like our 1st unproteced in 2013 and a couple of the firsts owed to us be close? We have Casspi or even Sessions available as well.

If you trade Dwill you want a legit starter at least coming not some meh bench players or a future late lotto
pick.
Varejao + the picks could be an option, and even that would be a stretch.

Yeah, I see your point, the Cavs dont have many legit starters though. Other than Kyrie our team could (and probably will) be completely different in a year or two. We could use the offense that Beasly can provide, but him and Scott probably wouldnt be a good mix.

Moving Williams onto Millsap limited him to only four fourth-quarter points after the 6-8 Jazz forward had scored 21 in the first three. It also enabled Williams to stay on the floor for the entire quarter, playing time he fruitfully used to provide a three-point play and a pair of free throws in the final minute that tied the game and then gave the Wolves their first lead since the game's opening basket.

Like most Rookies, he needs to learn to be productive without the ball in his hands so much. I've been up and down on him, but I think he could safely be counted on as a nice 6th man. He does have the ability to impact the game inside and out, and if his defense improves, I think he'll be a solid NBA player long-term. No question I keep him over Beas/Web/Wes when it comes to roster changes.
