Let's hear it for Big Baby having a decent game - 12pts on 5-9fg, 6rebs and 0 turnovers in 22 minutes off the bench.

And like probably everybody else, I'm sick of the Bucks, although I'm sure they're way more sick of us.

Definitely.

I watched a little of the Knicks game before the Magic started, early on I thought it was just rust and not really stupid shots that fans have been expecting.

i was watching that game on stream, Melo had a horrible game (for many reasons, I give him the benefit of the doubt)... Lin carried that team and helped spark a late run for the Knicks... Melo had 6 turnovers in 37min and stalled the offense when he got the ball ... Lin in 36min moved the ball well (again), and had a good amount of assists (9), steals (4), and rebounds (7), while still putting up 21pts with good efficiency and having LOW turnovers (3)... Melo didn't fit in well... and obviously, because it was his first game back

things will work out

i was poking fun at the NY media possibly bashing Melo for this loss (you know fans were saying "Melo was going to come back and ruin Lin and The Knicks")... the negativity is going to be there, whether it's fair or not... and honestly, I could careless about Melo, I'm not a fan of his and I hate the Knicks... so this is all thoroughly enjoyable to me  ... I'm happy Lin had another great game though

He nearly shot his team out of the game towards the end. Deron hit 8 3pointers and they only won by 8 points.
The knicks have a better shooting night and they win it 5/21 from 3

Stan had nothign but good things to say about Liggins in the post game interview.

Talked about how everybody on the team must respect him a lot for being so ecstatic about him getting in the game and celebrating with him after the game. Also mentioned how hard Liggins works and how amazing it was for him to be ready to play even though he rarely even gets to participate in walkthroughs.

JNelson43 wrote:Wow, some of you are waaaaaay too hard on Dwight considering his statline. He by and large played well. Of course I agree that we went to him too much at the end, but honestly I've never believed that there should be one "closer", especially a center. And at the end of the day he WAS unselfish enough to pass it to the wide open JJ for a huge bucket and he still got the tip to Nelson that gave Anderson the chance to shoot the game winner. And props for that to Ryan.

Contributions from all the starters tonight, Ryan and JJ didn't play great for most of the game but they came through in the end. I thought Jameer and Hedo were both pretty good.

But the concept of a "closer" is kind of a pet peeve. I do NOT think we should go away from Dwight at the end of games, I think we do that too much. But since when is 1 on 5 better than using the entire offense? 1 on 5 hurts you even if its a guy like Kobe, you need to play team ball and get the bucket to the guy that's hot or the open man. I think certain people do seem to have a knack for making shots at the end of games, but that doesn't mean that they should take the ball down every time, the entire concept is overblown by the media. To give Stan a little bit of the benefit of the doubt, Dwight was the hot one for most of the game... but we overdid it. Although I WILL say that giving it to him the ball over and over is what gave JJ that very important shot, if we don't go to Dwight at all then maybe the defenders stay home on him.

As far as Liggins... not enough time on him yet.

I don't think anyone was hard on Dwight. he said he wanted to be the "closer" even if it cost us games, he got that chance tonight (even after yet another game from him where he didn't show up) and failed at it. it wasn't until he did what most people here wants him to do every single night, which is defend, rebound, and, make the right passes that he started to do well and we ended up winning.

They were excited for Liggins and a good close win.

My bad guys. Can't hate on a team celebrating the rook's contribution to a tough win. Glad DeAndre got some court time.

Let the LiggINSANITY begin.

Yeah I agree with you dude, and the NY media definitely blame him for the loss even though it was his first game back. Also Barons first and JR's 2nd

yep exactly... and I just find it funny... it's amusing to me (because that's how NY fans and media are)... but at the same time I know it's wrong lol... Melo doesn't deserve the bashing he'll receive, but he will be fine after he gets into a rhythm (and I'm not a Melo fan btw)... I can't wait to hear ESPN and First Take tomorrow... going to be entertaining

so 1-3 in the 4th is nearly shooting his team out of the game? 1-1 late in the game?...thats really interesting, deron was 10-22, 8-14 from three, and 10-12 from the line..knicks were down 18 after the 3rd

I kind of missed this game.

Why did Liggins get minutes? I'm assuming that Vafer wasn't playing well.

And How did he play in those 10 mins?

Lin wasn't guarding Deron the whole time...can't put all the blame on him but the knicks as a whole had a bad game.....but individually for lin to put up those numbers and have it considered to be a bad game...that's pretty decent....doesn't matter though since they lost

Q got hurt so Stan had no choice but to play him. and, he played some nice defense. he looked to drive first, shoot second, which I like. but, I can't really tell you cause he played very few minutes. but overall not bad.
