You need to learn how to pay attention. Look at his shot when he's wide open versus his shot when it's contested. When it's contested he gets about a foot off the ground, when it's wide open he shoots a set shot. It's not that hard to figure out...

On those one-one plays, you are saying he has enough elevation to be effective at the next level.

OK.

On that, we can agree to disagree without being disagreeable.

Of course he has enough elevation because his release point and handle are more than capable of getting him open looks. On Baylor's offense the guy is asked to be a spot up shooter most of the time with that joke of a coach running things. But I'm down to agree to disagree because this is taking up entirely too much of my reading week, plus, there are other prospects who can be discussed.

Miller's gonna blow people away man... whether he stays an extra year or not, he's going to be a good NBAer.

Quincy Acy steals the show for Baylor - 22 pts, 16 rebs. Without him, they don't win.

And as a big Quincy Miller supporter I will say that he s**t the bed. I can't defend that.

Couple more players to say no to .

Say no to Austin Rivers and Say no to MKG!

MKG ; yes he goes after it so unless you want him as a bench player do not touch him.
Doesnt have the shooting ability to play 2 at the next level and too small to play SF; a Terrance Williams without the handles.

Austin Rivers; he has good moves off the dribble.. but too much of a combo guard..and has a suspect looking release ... He is no Kyrie Irving..he is not even Bayless at the same stage ..

Both should stay in school one more year

8-) Lamb has all the tools to be an effective two player for a very long time.

It doesn't really matter if Quincy Miller starts his shot low or not. It's all about how quick you can get your shot off and being able to separate yourself from the defender without getting the shot altered. By all accounts, Quincy has a extremely quick release, and with his ball-handling, it shouldn't be much of a problem for him to shake off his defender. Look at that lightning quick release...

Hey I'd draft Lamb too lol

But then what happens to DD? Where do we get a starting calibre SF from that's good and young enough to gel and mesh with the team?

Exact same release all 3 times. End of story.

Miller often starts his shot from his chest and the release point ends up above his head. Which is fine and dandy if nobody is guarding you. It's something he's going to need to work on at the pro level.

I have been on Quincy case for a while now;

Due to the long arms of the NBA SF and his lack of elevation quick release or not, that shot will be disrupted even he shifts the player slightly..

I feel like we are being held hostage with DD a lil bit, but if you can get Lamb you get him regardless of DD.

That will force DD to be more consistent (or else you are sitting for the young rookie Demar)

Quincy Miller looks to have all the athleticism of Evan Turner. That being said, he's a great shooter and gets his looks in the paint without the athleticism that others have.

Regardless, I'll pass on him.

Gimme Lamb.

If you draft Lamb then you can survive with JJ at 3 until you find better, and if you have Lamb/Bargs/Jonas then your ideal starting SF might be dictated by your PG's skill-set, because you've got inside/outside scoring and D already. If our eventual PG is of Jose's archetype, JJ could be the guy. Rondo's archetype, then no.

In core pieces, you need to stick to pure position players with no major flaws in order to avoid building another house of cards. Bargs/Jonas/Lamb would be a phenomenal core. Run any play you want with those 3, play any defensive set. You don't have to mask anybody, no gimmicks, adjust how you want using your 1 and 3 to give different looks. Time-shares, whatever. Lamb can play minutes at 1 and 3, which opens things up even more.

Lamb's ability to shoot well as handle the ball is key, adding a guy who does only one is not good enough as our 3rd(last possible?) big piece. Adding a guard is far more important than a 3/4/5 and Lamb is the best, most versatile guard in the class.
