yes, but the majority thinks he still needs time to adjust to the nba when he comes over, but in the end he will be a helluva a player. Dr Mufasa thinks hes a bust... anyways I guess UcouldUwould knows more..

Depends on what do you expect? Some people says hes gonna be a top 5 C in no time, so yeah, in that case hes definitely overrated.
But as 5th. pick, who was taken between Thompson and Vesely, he is definitely not overrated. Hes definitely a better prospect than Kanter, and is second or maybe third (still high on Derrick) best young player of this draft class IMO.

Depends on what do you expect? Some people says hes gonna be a top 5 C in no time, so yeah, in that case hes definitely overrated.
But as 5th. pick, who was taken between Thompson and Vesely, he is definitely not overrated. Hes definitely a better prospect than Kanter, and is second or maybe third (still high on Derrick) best young player of this draft class IMO.

Frankly it doesn't take a lot to be a top 10 C in the NBA or for that matter top 5.

Then a group of good not great Cs Gortat, Noah, Cousins, Noah, Chandler, Monroe
Both Cousins and or Monroe could be classified as top 5 Cs this year.
The ceiling isn't that high to be top 5 and frankly I think JV has better tools than anyone other than Dwight and a healthy Bynum a season with combo of 25 in PPG, Rebounds & Assists puts you well into top 10 territory and 30 puts you in top 5.

I think the Raptors will give him 30 minutes a game and I believe with both Klieza as support and Bargs as a key player will help his development. Against bigs like Dwight both Bargs and Gray can get minutes with JV picking up minutes at back-up and PF.

He obviously isn't a finished product but his high shooting % and high free throw % should enable him getting 12 plus PPG in 30 minutes. He should hover around the 10 mark on rebounds & get a couple assists. Is he going to be a top 5 C next year no. But can break the top 10.

Its just a prognosis. He seems like a great rebounder and finisher, but you never know for sure. The fact is, Eurocup (not to mention LKL) level of Basketball is nowhere close to NBA. His D is not a sure thing, at least not now, and big bodies bullies him all day long. He has a shot to end up better than any of those second tier guys you mentioned, but its gonna be tough and I am not sure about it.

No way he plays 30 minutes, 20 maybe I guess... Unless he really blossoms bigtime early which I doubt.


But we will see (if we all last). Waiting on a Lokomotiv game tomorrow morning. Should be very competitive.

I personally think his ceiling is a franchise changer.
That doesn't mean he'll reach that potential (and definitely not "in no time") but it means I think he has that in him.

Aniway, today is the match agains Lokomotiv-Kuban at 19:05 EET. I hear Gherardini and some NBA filming crew + physical fitness coach are present in my town to check out on Jonas and start some personal physical training. Awaiting eagerly for the game. Hope Jonas will have good one.

There is a huge difference between the level of the Euroleague and the Eurocup. Teams in the bottom 1/3 of domestic leagues like Greece, Italy, and Spain regularly make the Last 16 of Eurocup.

It's not even close to the same level.

Chimki, Spartak would beat the vast majority of Euroleague clubs and most of them by a comfortable margin. Rytas would also be a tough challange. Of course in Eurocup there are 5-6 clubs that would do well in Euroleague while others would be a cannon fodder but you can't say that only weakling gather there either.

if you win eurocup you get one year pass to euroleague (LRytas won twice ). so of course there are good teams in eurocup, but majority aren't comparable to euroleague.

My personal opinion about him that he's a dbag. He might look charismatic, but from interviews that I heard him give, he sounds like shallow, uneducated and pretty arrogant dude. Like that time when ge hot apprehended in Spain prior ot match due to shouting inults to local cops and carrying stuff that was prohibited to carry into the arena. This whole thing was infalted as Spanish cop violence that was unjustified and he was friggin lying in front of cameras to whole country, but then info surfaced that he was actually breaching the law.

But hey that's my personal opinion, others might argree with me or not.

Lith girls are pretty hot in general so its hard to tell which ones you ask off. Lith'sare known for the three main things - basketball craze, beer and hot girls.
