Cavs bringing back Manny Harris?

Post#1 » by Nirvana » Tue Feb 7, 2012 6:13 pm

We just waived Mychel Thompson and will probably look to bring in someone on a 10 day contract.

Manny Harris has been playing very well in the NBDL and is presumably fully recovered from his freezer burn. Harris is averaging 18.6 points, 7.4 rebounds, and 2.8 assists per game.

I liked him last year. He shot the ball well from behind the arc and showed he could finish inside at times. He's certainly got a more diverse offensive arsenal than Parker.

I hope that we sign Manny, or we make a trade where we take in more players than we send out.
Well at least we're not Detroit!

I did like some signs last year from Manny and I think he will look even better if he gets a real shot at developing like Gee has gotten.
Seems like AP is tearing down and this is probably his last year with the Cavs.

Thats what I thought when I heard Thompson was waived. I hope he bulked up some from last year if we do sign him, he was a little weak defensively imo. There were times last year where he looked decent, and I would assume he worked on his game in the off season, so I wouldnt mind seeing him here.

He had 46 points 9 Rebs 6 Ast 4 St in his latest game for Canton Charge. I don't think he belongs down there....

Hey, maybe he could be our Lin? Who knows..

Is anyone else surprised that no one has offered Manny any sort of deal?

He must be on the radar of a few teams at least after his monster game the other night. Both AP and Boobie back for tomorrows game reportedly so it doesnt look like the Cavs will be signing him any time soon.

Looks like a few of you called it - Manny's back on a 10 day contract.

Peculiar timing given that both Parker and Boobie are practicing again and likely to return. Would have been nice for Manny to get the PT while they were out.

Yea.. Why didn't they bring him back earlier? I can't see him getting much time on the floor right now.

I hope he gets a chance though and makes the most of it.

There we go, glad to have him back. I'm excited to see what he can do for us, if he gets a chance.
