I always liked Randolph's game. Just hard headed kid from what im hearing. I always thought of him a a cheap man's Lamar though...also if somehow we get Darko or another servicable big would be nice. Im pretty sure they would like to keep pekovic.
BTW... how about going after Marvin Williams? Apparently he's asking for a trade.

And I know Laker fans would not feel the same excitement as Beasley and his fans if ever he indeed gets moved here, but I assure you. The Lakers would be a GREAT environment for Beas that may lead to that much awaited career break-out.
I want to confidently tell you this without any bias: the media thing about Beas being a thug, bad guy, lazy, etc. are ALL false.
Sure, there's no denying that he smokes pot, but other than that, he's not really that bad guy that the media is portraying him to be.
I know many people actually think that he has talent but he just doesn't have the work ethic.
Wrong.
He HAS the work ethic and he HAS the talent inside him. What's preventing him from taking his game to the next level is all about discipline. It's all mental.
His scoring is not questionable, he can be one of the best in the league in the near future in that aspect. But is that really all? That's why Adelman and Minny are trying to discipline him now. They want to make him an all-around player. He was BRILLIANT last season for Minny before getting injured. Call that as an excuse, but it's the truth. Injuries slowed him down last season. He still has the potential to be not a one-dimensional player he used to be.
He wasn't a problem in Miami in terms of character. I remember reading an article saying he's the first in, last out of the gym. He works hard. His determination to succeed is there. But sometimes, the negative of that is he has the tendency of doing way too much - and that leads to him losing all his focus and discipline.
Another thing I would like to point out on why his Miami tenure wasn't that good was because he lacked the opportunity. ONE SMALL MISTAKE -- Spoelstra would be screaming at him and will sub him out for Udonis Haslem. The Heat wanted him to become exactly like UD -- someone who can rebound and defend, and obviously, he wasn't that. They misused him.
Call him a ballhog all you wish -- but this season's Beasley, if you followed him closely before, is 1000000x different than the previous Beasley. I hate him now since he has sucked and hasn't lived up to the hype that led to me being his fan previously, but his mindset right now is very impressive. He's actually willing to learn and sacrifice for the betterment of the team. And I got no doubt a move to the Lakers will not only help himself, but the team as a whole.
As a Twolves fan having watched Beasley play since his Kstate days, what this guy said is DEAD ON!!! Beasley has a VERY good work ethic. He is still one of the last guys out of the gym. He is a total gym rat. He was incredible before his injury last year and that was playing in rambis' horrible offense. He will at time be a ball hog, but that may be because he is the only player the Wolves have that can create his own shot. Since coming back from his injury this year I have noticed a changed player. He is coming off the bench, but when he plays, he is playing more of a team player and making passes instead of trying to do everything himself. He is growing up, slowly but there is progress. And this guy is right, his problem is all mental. If he can figure that out, he will be DANGEROUS!
And another thing, The players love him. He is always gotten along with all the players and are always joking. He is not this problem player that everyone perceives. He DID get busted for pot, but he is not the first one to do that. Why is he known as a pothead, but Chalmers is not?
I like Beasley and would like to keep him and deal with some of his bad decisions during the game rather than GIVE him away to you or any other team. I am not saying he is worth Pau, but come on...we expect more than half the crap some of you are offering for him.
And also, if you take Ridnour, we will cut the price just to get rid of that PILE OF C@#P!!!

Re: Broussard: Lakers Like Beasley
I hope we get Beasley. If we can get him for the TPE and a second round pick thats a steal. Even if we give up a 1st round pick I would think its a good trade. We need more production from the SF spot and the bench and Beasley would provide both. Beasley would be better coming off the bench for this team because he can create his own shot which is important as nobody does that on the second unit. I feel that he would thrive here because unlike his previous two teams we have a winning tradition and veteran leadership.

Get him for money and a low draft pick. Hold up your hands. It would be robbery. I do it in a LA heart beat. Not sure they would. Unless they are looking for cap space.

Beasley is a RFA. We don't need money, and Kahn doesn't need the cap space. You guys just don't have anything at all to trade us, sounds like more LA media making things up for clicks, just like the Love BS...
Unless LA comes up with a three way deal involving a team that has a SG for us, I can't see anything happening between our teams. You can't trade Kobe or Bynum, and Pau has no value to us.

Broussard works for ESPN hes not the LA media. You are right Lakers don't have anything to offer for Beasly because they won't trade any of the big 3 unless they are getting someone really good and that isn't Beasly. As for Pau not having no value to "us". I guess not according to the Twolves since they are the ones trying to get him but Twolves don't have anything to offer but Love and Rubio which the Wolves obviously wouldn't trade so they don't really have any chance at getting Pau. And I would assume the same for Beasly on the Lakers end unless the Twolves dont want to pay Beasly his next contract and rather get a pick then let him go other then that Lakers and Wolves have nothing to talk about.

don't let your small market insecurities cloud your reading comprehension. the article was from an espn ny based writer, not LA media...and all it said was that the lakers were interested in Beasley, not that your pooor wolves would be willing to deal him.

Pau is not involved and NY is in fact, not LA. i know that might be hard to understand (not really).

Do you even read when someone responds to your post or do you ignore what they're saying and go on merrily in your ignorant ways?
