Our offense is still in a huge funk... nobody but Posada, Arod and Jeter are hitting lately, yesterday regardless.

I know the season is still young, hell over 135 games left, anything can happen, but you have to admit, our offense of late has been unacceptable and we need to make some sort of change... but where and how?

yea, but it seems as if we score a lot of pile on runs and not runs in tight games where we need them, that tells the story with wins and losses....

Melky had a better AB against a tougher pitcher than Abreu had all game. Why is Abreu still playing? We need to deal this guy to SF for Lowry and Sanchez because Moose is done. -Jitpal

We are like 2-8 in one run games.

That's alright, we'll be fine... Boston is playing over its head right now. Once they come back to Earth, we'll be right back in the race. The Red Sox always get off to a hot start, then fade down the stretch.

I honestly never really been a big Mussina fan.I always kinda expected him to have a bad year for several seasons now and he has proved me wrong before. This year could be that year but hopefully he bounces back cause it aint looking to pretty for him.

Bad loss tonight.I dont understand how we cant hit Julian Tavarez. He is a scrub and this lineup wasnt able to hit squat against him.Thats now twice that he has owned us this year.

Its a mist win tomorrow.I dot care if it still may,its a must win tomorrow.Im tired of losing series

You know Boston fans can read your board, right?

I would argue that the Sox are no playing over their head. They are getting minimal production from their OF, one is a HOF and the other is a consistant, all-star caliber player, and Coco Crisp is Coco Crisp. The only real spots I see a drop off taking place is the back end of the rotation. Wake has been lights out thus far and will come down to earth and every Tavarez start is living off of borrowed time. But Jon Lester should be back soon to offset Tavarez's crappiness. Mike Lowell and Kevin Youkilis will come down to earth but Lugo, Manny, and Drew will step it up and offset some of that loss. The team will certainly cool off, I can't see them playing .700 ball all season but they are not going to suddenly drop dead. mahalo

They are playing .700 ball. They are not going to continue to play .700 ball. Beckett, Wakefield and Tavarez are pitching over their heads. Okajima is pitching over his head. This is par for the course for Drew and Lugo right now. I really don't see much improvement, except with Manny.

Sanchez was demoted to make room for Lincecum they want Sanchez to be their future SP so they are sending him down to AAA for more innings. I still don't see how you can defend Abreu to me, he's been near garbage this season. And Linden was moved after they called up Fred Lewis and Daniel Ortmeier , younger more athletic and both can hit the ball better they wanted Linden to go to AAA to work on his hitting but Fla nabbed him off waivers before he could clear.

Because our 3/4th OF are going to be Melky and Thompson. Sanchez was just sent down, Lincecum was called up weeks ago.
