And in addition -- Buck and Phil were actually critical of what McGee did.

For Buck and Phil to be critical of something, it means what that player did is so beyond idiotic, it ventures into felony.

Hopefully somebody can get the audio of Phil letting out a depressed "Oh, no" as soon as it happened.

That McGee was permitted to go back in the game after that debacle tells me that there is still not enough discipline in this franchise.

Absurd and embarrassing.

Based on what i see, this team is a the very beginning of a rebuild. None of Grunfeld's projects have turned into consistent starters or even consistent 6th men in this league. None of Grunfeld's projects are highly desired except for maybe mcgee due to his shot blocking.

Wall is the only potential all star we have on this team. In order for this team to contend, it widely accepted that you need at least three all stars on your team.

We have Wall...and that's it. Wiz don't even have a consistent starter.

Young, Blatche, Booker, Crawford, Seraphin, Singleton, VEsely and all of Grunfeld's free agent signings were and are currently mid to deep bench players in the nba.
Not one player that has left the wizards has turned into an allstar or produced given their team consistent starter quality minutes over an entire season.

Each night we have one starter in Wall and a bunch of mid to deep bench players pretending to be nba starters each night and this is all because of Grunfeld lack of skill at developing his projects into starting caliber nba players.

We have starter in Wall and McGee is he closest thing we have to a consistent second starter on this team. you look at the goal tend by mcgee and he is goal tending because his team get's beat.

McGee is forced to goaltend because is only playiing wtih one starting caliber player each night in wall. The rest are Dleague material.
Vesely, Singleton, Seraphin, --young is Dleague material if his shot isn't falling--Rashard Lewis sad--how far he has dropped--dleague--
crawford on some nights is decent offensively but defensively--crawford is dleague material.

it really is a horrible roster where the Grunfeld's projects outside of McGee and Booker have shown no significant improvement and none of Grunfeld's projects has developed into a consistent starting caliber player including mcgee and booker.
Build your team w/5 shooters using P. Pierce Form deeply bent hips and lower back arch at same time b4 rising into shot. Elbow never pointing to the ground! Good teams have an engine player that shoot volume (2000 full season) at 50 percent.Large Hands

In McGee's defense. He's an idiot but I do feel bad for him. He's 7'1 with a 7'6 wing span, and can jump out the gym. He can basically grab the rim just standing. I mean its probably just so hard for him not to goal tend. He can literally get to every single shot just about. Its like every play he's playing fast and then having to decide in a split second to block it or let it go. Sometimes I think he thinks No but his hands just jump out on him, like a natural reflex or instinct. It is so annoying though.............lol

Agreed, but that last one was just idiotic. Did you see how long the ball was in the air? I'm sure he knew he would get called.

If/when Cousins improves his shot selection and gets it together, he's going to be a perennial 22 and 12 guy for some team.

It was a weird game by Cousins.

Dude was 18-20 ft from the basket a lot tonight. Normally, he's closer to the basket and operates his game there. Too many jumpers. But I guess that is what is expected for a young big going through development. You gonna have nights like that.

I was travelling and missed the game but that Javale gif is almost as LOL as the "where the F you goin' Javale?" gif.

Man.... it wasnt even like it was close. Why Javale, Why???? He had plenty of time to re-evaluate wether or not to swat at it. He could have just let it go and if it missed he would have been in his second jump to grab the board...

I feel like he just hasnt learned anything in the last 3 years after looking at this. He shows flashes and then regresses back to DumbVale McDumb. Offering anything even close to DeAndre money would be beyond foolish. You can't be a winning team with this Javale at C.

Well, in fairness, we took Mike Pence off their hands. Taking back Mahinmi is the least they can do.

Is that Whittman standing up and giving the "basket counts" signal with his hand in the background, before Javale has even leapt into the air?

Hilarious.

Not as hilarious/infuriating as seeing Sam Cassell jump up like he wanted to kill McGee. That's how a champion reacts to giving up 2 points.

McGee is a joke.

He knew it was a goaltend. He was just po'ed that he got blatantly fouled on the previous alley oop play and didn't get any foul shots.

I give JaVale a pass on that goaltend, he fricken got pushed in the back and didn't get the call. BFD, he slapped the ball out, better than a technical.

Yeah, JaVale is frustrating as hell, but I wouldn't sell him out just now while the Wizards are bottoming-out. As WizD pointed out, this org are TERRIBLE developers of talent, especially with the bigs - low BBIQ not withstanding.

He was mad. Had to take his anger of the season out on something. Hey nobody on the team can shoot.
What you want him to do? Become a 3shooter or something people?
Lol ;-)

I wouldn't mind seeing Javale elbow someone like Tyreke Evans if another player flagrantly fouls him. McGee is frustrated.

i don't know i guess different people handle things differently but when i played ball (only through high school) i remember every time we lost i wouldn't even want to talk to anyone for the rest of the night.

he played like crap in the 4th q and let thomas abuse him. i just don't see how you can put that behind you so fast and hit up the club with cousins. i just question his heart a little bit. i just think it sets a bad example for the rest of the team. makes them feel like "hey if john goes to the club after a loss then its fine if we all do it" and it becomes a habit. as opposed to if he never went after a loss it would set a tone for the team letting them know maybe it isn't the best idea. i dunno just my opinion.
