This is a warning regarding the following post made by you: viewtopic.php?f=6&p=30437723#p30437723 .

No need for this.

I made these comments on Feb. 15th and I am getting a warning for this today. It seems like this mod targeted me for some strange reason.

I am a Indo-Aryan from North India and I am a fan of Jeremy Lin. I want Lin to succeed.

I can understand what you mean by people being blatantly racist in Arizona. Was there last summer at the airport and there was a brown guy in the airport wearing traditional clothing. Everyone was already grilling me and my friends badly there, but when the traditional clothes guy walked out, some fat Caucasian guy looked at him, looked at us, shook his head and chuckled and walked.

Never did we experience such hostility with cut eyes and dirty looks. It happens though and I don't think ALL Americans are like that. Some specific states have a tendency to have more people racist.

For instance it can be seen as a systemic issue as well I.e. the immigration policies in arizona. But calling all Americans ignorant is a little biases and stereotypical. Same thing would go for all brown people being terrorists, etc.

You made a pretty sweeping generalization, although it's probably true.

They must have been cleaning up reports. We get a lot of them on some forums.

There was nothing wrong with what you said, some mods here are just overly sensitive when it comes to racism, for example:

"I saw a black guy yesterday" - bannable statement.

Hell I wouldn't be surprised if I get banned for this post, that's how pathetic it is.

The Moderators here do a great job of policing things and we have a tight reign when it comes to racism.

To be completely honest...it's just a warning. Just be careful not to stereotype groups of people like that next time, and you'll be fine. I'm sure even Howard has had a warning or two since he joined in 2001 :P

I started out as a Moderator when the boards started.

2 1/2 years later, I became an Admin and in charge of the Moderators.

I've never had a warning.
