All the numbers in the various formulas were adjusted downward, in accordance with the fact that the players' overall split was reduced from 57% to 50%. The max salary calculation is no different from the rest.

So is the actual salary cap line (once free floating) based off ~45% of BRI then?

Thanks, that makes much more sense.
I had been under the impression that they weren't lowering it that much (once it is free floating), and keeping it closer to the 51% it is now (with less ways to go above the cap that still made some sense).
