The new espn mock has the Jazz taking Lillard at #11. Is he good? Is he worth a #11 pick?
I see he is scoring 24 points a game and his 3pt% is 44.8%.....very good.
How is his handle and passing? Will his moves work in the pros?
http://nbadraft.net/players/damian-lillard Ratings are mostly 7 and 8.

It will take him a couple of years to adapt to the pro game.
He will likely be a an average to slightly better than average PG, but has an outside chance of being a top 10 PG if he can handle the speed of the pro game, and the defense.
Somewhere between 12 and 19 is about right for his draft position.

Im interested in him. I think he can be a good solid 2 way player for us. I think he will have a norris cole like impact as a rookie. He may struggle a little for a year or so but I think he will show lots of confidence and play his but off. I think he could be a solid leader and could hit some big shots for us.
Is he worth a lottery pick tho ...... I don't know. His upside is hard to determine because he's one of those tweeners that doesn't have D rose or westbrook physical ability and tools.

Take this for what it's worth. My grandpa was heavily involved with UVU basketball back when Ronnie Price was playing. He still talks to Ronnie every couple of months.
Anyway, Ronnie told my grandpa that he had been playing a lot of games during the lockout with Lillard. And Ronnie thinks he is REALLY, REALLY good. Like potential all star caliber.
It's not like his word is the end-all, but still a pretty unique opinion coming from somebody that has played against all of the current great PG's.
I like him. He's a 4th year junior but is pretty young (21) for a "should be" senior. Still some upside there I think, which you don't always get with upperclassmen. I see him as Roddy Beaubois with better PG ability, or maybe a bigger Ty Lawson. (Not as quick though).

That's pretty cool a Weber St. guy can go this high, I think the age thing is less an issue. The fact is anyone playing in the Big Sky who has lotto potential will likely have taken a non-traditional path towards relevance. I look forward to seeing him in March Madness. If they can get in that's the type of player that can make an upset.

I'm liking him, but I'm also a little weary on how good he'll be considering the Big Sky competition he's up against, if he makes a very nice tourney run and puts up good numbers? Then we'll see.

The Big Sky is traditionally very good at the guard position and things haven't changed this year. I wouldn't be worried about the competition he's facing. There are a couple other wings from the Big Sky that could be drafted in the second round or at the very least get an invitation to Portsmouth: Charles Odum, Will Cherry, Chase Grabau. It doesn't hurt that there are other solid players like Kenny McGowen, Melvin Morgan, Kareem Jamar and Xavier Blount on the wings as well.

Depends who is still on the board at the time but I can't say that I hate the idea.

weber is my alma mater so i am biased but i would love to see the jazz draft him
my only real concern with him is that he can be a bit passive offensively but that may just be because of the offense they run
