Jordan45822 posted on the GB just now.

Marc J. Spears @SpearsNBAYahoo
Hawks Joe Johnson will miss AllStar game due to left knee tendinitis.

Alex Kennedy @AlexKennedyNBA
Joe Johnson will not compete in the All-Star Game or the Three-Point Shootout due to left knee tendinitis. The NBA will select replacements.

Good man, rest up, heal up, get a self help guru and get this team back on track.

Now, will the NBA make it right and put J-Smoove in after pissing on him with snubs for "pretty much" 3 straight years.

Rondo to take Joe's spot, unbelievable, I am pissed off for Josh, he got snubbed and now here's a chance for the NBA to make it right but no they give it to Rondo.

I think Brandon Jennings deserves to take Joe's spot. Rondo is currently suspended for throwing the ball at a ref and his year has been suspect. The East already has enough reserves that are forwards so I understand why Josh didn't make it.

Will Joe still play in the Shooting Stars with Steve Smith?

Reports are that he won't participate in any All Star event and I think Josh Smith was picked for that event regardless.

I thought Joe was.

But it says nothing of his replacement.

My mistake on Josh. Well to answer the question I believe they updated it say Stackhouse (yes, the last guy off our bench) will be his replacement for the shooting stars and Durant the 3point contest.

Jerry Stackhouse as Joe's replacement. Wow, they couldn't even convince Josh to go. Maybe he didnt want to.

if im Josh, i would be like "F" you to the All Stars, i don't need to be a show monkey and waste my time. im going to a week long vacation to the Caribbean with the wife.

Teague should have replaced Joe. he is young and a good shooter.

Valid point on the suspension, didn't even think of that. I really have trouble with Boston getting 2 all-stars with a losing record. If they were playing at an all-star level shouldn't Boston have a winning record? At the same time I don't like selecting another PG with a losing record (like Rondo or Jennings). Being the main ball handler for a losing team gives a lot of opportunity to pad your stats with nothing coming of it. I think you might as well go with Louis Williams from Philadelphia if you don't reward Josh. He's a 6th man, but he's leading a playoff team in scoring and playing a decent number of minutes per game.

If Josh had been selected, Igoudala, Pierce, and even Deng can play some 2 if needed as both wildcards were used on small forwards initially.

East only has one PF. East needed Josh and not Rondo.

Dwight/Hibert
Bosh/Josh
Lebron/Deng
Wade/Iggy
Rose/Deron
