I said this a few posts ago, but I feel someone like Bargnani would fit well in Cleveland. He can defend in the post a bit, where he seems to struggle is when he has to move around and step out on someone. If paired with Varejao or Thompson, a lot of his deficiencies should be masked. The plus is that he has three point range and he can score the ball. With players like Thompson, Varejao, Gee, and Eyenga running the break and finishing, Bargnani can trail and possibly knock down a three if the ball is kicked out. Another plus to Bargnani is that I do not think we would have to see the farm to acquire him.
Irving/Sessions
(Beal/Lamb/Ross)/Gibson
Gee/Casspi
Thompson/Varejao/Samuels
Bargnani/Varejao/Erden
You have defenders, scorers, a good amount of shooters, and nice depth. Such a group feels as though they could be a key FA signing or two away from being a legit team.
Well at least we're not Detroit!
